Jan. 29, 2005 As I have read through multiple articles on atheism vs. Christianity (on U-K as well as other sites) one set of emotions appears to transcend all others; that group which includes rage and sarcasm against those who believe in God and more specifically the Judeo-Christian God. Although dissertations by self-proclaimed atheists against Islam may exist, I have yet to see any of them. Do atheists equate Islam with a lack of religion? Or, do they see Muslims as pagans and, therefore, not worth the effort their attacks? As the Islamic religion is doing its level-best to inculcate itself into the American culture, with the intent of replacing Judaism and Christianity, I would have thought that atheists would also see it as a threat to their non-beliefs. Curious. Are atheists merely trying to suppress truth? Perhaps one of the atheists might explain it to me. Webster’s dictionary defines atheism as 1. “a disbelief in the existence of deity” and 2. “the doctrine that there is no deity”. One would think that, with no belief system, those who do believe would be irrelevant entities to the atheists. However, that is not the case. Instead of the attitude of “let’s just get along” (a platitude spoken by the old leftist- atheist movement), the “new atheist” has developed an unrelenting penchant for attacking believers (specifically Christians) on each and every front. Their end-game strongly appears to be the crushing of the Christian belief system into oblivion. For some reason, unknown to me, the atheists are now acting in much the same manner as do the Islam-fascists. They, along with Islam, are determined to destroy Christianity; one way or the other. In my experience, atheists are some of the angriest and confused people I have ever met. But that is, after all, based upon my personal encounters. From my perspective, this is an illness that can only be cured by God. However, I can only present the viable and healing alternative. I won’t attempt to force truth on others. On the flip side, atheists are bent upon forcing their non-belief on me. Even more curious. The older method of the atheist was to call Christians “stupid and uneducated” and to claim that the leftist-atheists were the only “enlightened individuals” on the planet. The atheists had “evolved” beyond a need for Deity. This, apparently, hasn’t been as effective as they had hoped. So, now, the new leftist-atheist resorts to using some of the crudest and foulest of epithets when speaking to or writing about Christians. Doesn’t sound very enlightened to me. Of course, the atheists and the ACLU (same thing) are resorting to removing all references to Christianity from all public venues and have, recently, even begun to attack the churches themselves. These groups are now demanding that passages from the Bible (in regards to homosexuality) be removed; or at least not taught. Many of these passages have already been labeled in the US (as well as Canada and Australia) as “hate speech”. The rest of the Bible is also being attacked and, if they fully win this round, will either be rewritten or banned…altogether. Have no illusions on this matter. This is their ultimate goal. The atheists believe that if they could just get rid of God, a leftist Utopian society would emerge. Apparently, none of these people are aware of what occurred in the old atheist/Communist (same thing) USSR. I imagine that the truth about the Soviet Union is no longer taught in public schools, as it would debunk the leftist message. So, to all of the atheists I would like to offer a solution to your wrath against me and my Christian brethren. I’ll leave you alone if you’ll leave us alone. After all, we understand that the stance you have taken is due to some unresolved anger you have against God. Otherwise, why would you care what we believe? Oh, one last thing. There is no such doctrine (in the US Constitution) as “separation of Church and state”. That, although illegally supported by an increasingly activist judiciary, does not exist. Nonetheless, Christians are neither trying to force themselves nor their belief systems on you. Please don’t attempt to force your non-belief on us. ------------ About the author: Sher Zieve has written more than 100 articles for Useless-Knowledge and is a Conservative political commentator.
