Jan. 26, 2005 Shepherd says, “Sheep listen to what I say and repeat”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “Hussein bad man”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “Need to get rid of bad man”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “Need to send other sheep to invade bad man’s land”. Sheep begin to stir. Shepherd sees this and responses. Shepherd says, “If we don’t do this they will invade us”. Sheep don’t like this and nod. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “Need more money to keep bad man’s land”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “We are doing this for their good not ours”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “They will be better off when we make them like us”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “They need our values because they have none.” Sheep repeat. Shepherd says, “We need to teach ALL sheep that our way is the right way”. Most sheep repeat. Shepherd hears this and responses. Shepherd says, “Look above you. Is God not blessing us with green pastures and clean water?” Sheep look up and nod. Shepherd says, “Then God is with us and loves us and it’s up to us to get him to love the other sheep by making them like us”. Sheep repeat. Shepherd nods and then moves up the hill to speak with other shepherds. Shepherd says, “God has truly blessed the sheep by having us lead them”. The shepherds nod and say, "It's good to be a shepherd". Shepherd says, “It’s a good thing that there are wolves out there so that only we can protect the sheep”. The shepherds nod. Shepherd says, “Look over there.” He points and the other shepherds look. Shepherd says, “Is not that valley richer in grass and have sweeter water for our sheep?” The other shepherds look and believe him. Shepherd says, ”One day we must go over there and let our sheep graze on better land.” ------------ About the author: Richard Anthony is a screenplay writer and has eight screenplays to his credit. He started writing in 1990, after the birth of his first son. Prior to beginning his writing career, he spent twelve years working at two different radio stations in Sacramento, California. He was an on- air personality for the morning show program at both stations. At his final place of employment, Mr. Anthony worked as an Assistant Operations Manager and Sport Director. After radio, he formed Pyramid Productions. A film/video company dealing with video and audio commercial production. In 1998 and 1999 Mr. Anthony’s poem “What is Winning All About?” was selected by the International Library of Poetry to be placed in their anthology book of American poets for 1998. They contacted him again the following year to seek his permission for “Winning” to be included in their Millennium anthology collection. He, of course, gladly gave it. You can access his webpage at
