Jan. 15, 2005 Lest anyone think that the “Useless Knowledge” website matches its name…it does not. When I began writing for U-K, in July 2003, I had an unprecedented need to write strong conservative political commentary. U-K and its owner/editor, afforded me that opportunity. Prior to that time, I had only written speculative- fiction genre books. This was my first foray into political writing. Before the Presidential election, I and other U-K writers wrote articles on an almost daily basis. We were intense and didn’t always agree with one another. But, several of us (even those with differing opinions) became email friends. For example, I doubt that I will ever agree politically with Michelle Malsbury. But, she is a truly wonderful lady and was a Godsend to me during the recent Florida hurricanes. These friendships were an unexpected reward of being part of the, then, U-K family. For me, Useless Knowledge proved to be a wonderful showcase and my articles and columns are now being carried by some very well-known Conservative sites. I am even seriously considering writing another book; this time a non-fiction political offering. In any event, this is just a brief “thank you” and to let all of you new site writers know that U-K is unique to other websites and can prove be an invaluable experience.
