Chivalry On A Shoe-String Budget!

Contrary to popular opinion, “Diamonds are not a girl’s best friend.” “Gems” from a love interest, in the form of thoughtful gestures and sweet tokens of affection can be equally enduring, (though diamonds are no shabby deal either)! A guy need not put himself in the poorhouse in order to give a woman things of value or touch her heart.

All that’s required is a little creativity, passion, and an adventurous spirit.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner here are a few suggestions:

1. Have a romantic song dedicated to your girl over the radio airwaves (either her favorite, or the one you first danced to).

2. Give her a foot and/or back massage after a long day’s work with some exotic oils.

3. Send a rose for each month or year you’ve been a couple.

4. Take a midnight stroll along the beach together (weather permitting).

5. Go shopping with her.

6. Buy a book of poetry and recite some soulful selections or compose your own.

7. Help her with housework.

8. Purchase a gift related to her hobby.

9. Listen without judging.

10. Flirt with her in public.

11. Prepare a cozy dinner for two.

12. Place an ad in the paper (professing your love), in the special section devoted to Valentine’s dedications.

13. Watch a chick-flick with her.

14. Keep your word.

15. Earn her trust.

16. Be kind to her mom and/or kids.

17. Practice the art of compromise.

18. Say you’re sorry when you’re wrong.

19. Support her dreams.

20. Remind her of how special she is.

21. Implement suggestions 1-20 the remaining days of the year!
