Feb. 25, 2005 For years we as fans have been hearing about how much work the celebrities put into being thinner than they really need to be. But how thin is too thin? Why don't you ask someone like Karen Carpenter, Tracey Gold from t.v's Growing Pains, or anyone else who has come across an article or two about them being a little bit chubbier than they should be. The point is Celebrities take weight loss way too far and they don't realize just how much more damage they could do by losing the weight than they would by doing it right. Karen Carpenter and her brother Richard were one of the best loved musical duos to ever make an appearence, but one chubby review changed everything for Karen. She ate very little or not at all, she overdid her excersising every day, and the whole time she was doing more damage than good. Anerexia Nervosa is one of the leading causes of death in women because they just do not know when to quit while they are ahead. Bulemia is just as bad if not worse. For example, In the hit television show Baywatch, Niccole Eggert who played the role of Summer Quinn took on a bad case of Bulemia because of the stress brought on by Matt Brody (David Charvet) and Jimmy Slade (Kelly Slater) who were literally fighting eachother for her affections. I can understand from those women who have been through pregnancy losing the extra "baby" fat they gained being pregnant, but don't go overboard. Karen Carpenter did and she lost her life. Life is too important to throw it away just to be acceptible to some men who are just too brainless to see that true beauty is found with in. I'm not some 100 to 110 slender beauty, I like my weight because used wisely it gives me an advantage those thin women don't have. Certain men are the same way, especially the male romance cover models. So what if you gain twenty or thirty extra pounds because of a family visit. He knows who he is and so do I. Don't let people judge you for your outward appearence. Real Beauties or Real Hunks are people who make a difference because they want to, not becasue they have to or it's a tax deduction. The real beauty of a woman and the true beauty of a man is the actions they show in the outside world and in their own. When it is all said and done just remember above all and foremost: the real Lady or Man is who is under the mask. ------------ About the author:Khristyne Lanzari is 29 years old and is a resident in the state of Arkansas. www.fanfiction.net/~loganlanzari www.fictionpress.com/~khristynelanzari www.yahoo.com/groups/knightthunderfabiolanzoni Email: KhristyneLanzari@writeme.com Tell a friend about this site! ------------ |
