Feb. 23, 2005 That the Moslems regard the US as The Great Satan is well known, what is not well known is just why the Moslems have singled out the US specifically for attack, the real reason is quite complex and involves the way their religion is set up and it is set up this way. In the Moslem world the women are kept dumb and poor by denying them an education and are terrorised by the threat of physical violence if they are not super conformists to their repressed lifestyle, they are terrified of their priests and the gunmen/bombers associated with those priests and as a result they willingly make fundamentalists of their children. Old time religion needs a good supply of fundamentalists to survive and prosper. The fundamentalists who also have the extremist characteristic are particularly useful as gunmen and suicide bombers and for giving fearsome powers of retaliation agaist those who question or threaten the religion and its preferred lifestyle, without a good supply of fundamentalists old time religion withers and dies much to the chagrin of the priests. Unfortunatly for the moslem priests modern things and particularly modern ideas are seeping steadily into the Moslem world and the Moslem culture carrying women are now coming into contact with those modern things and ideas. By keeping their culture carrying women uneducated and terrorised the Moslem priests assured a good supply of fundamentalists appeared with every new generation of Moslems however when you educate culture carrying women they stop making fundamentalists of their children thus threatening the Moslem priests with an impending loss of power. Oddly enough, the new ideas and modern things such as computers entering the Moslem world are providing a form of education to the Moslem women as well as the men, the Moslem priests know what will happen if this situation is allowed to proceed, the Moslem women will soon stop making fundamentalists of their children. Now most of the new knowledge coming into the Moslem world emanates from the US as the US is the leading research and development nation in our world, all the Moslem priests can see when they look at the US is lots and lots of trouble hence their attacks on the US and their description of the US as the Great Satan. So there is the real situation, unwittingly the US (and other progressive nations) are effectively threating the Moslem priest's power base which is control of the culture carrying women. Naughty, naughty US!
