An Appeal For Prayer [Cancer In My Colon]

By Lee Zelhart
Feb. 18, 2005

I just had an experience I prefer not to have to endure. I had to undergo a colonoscopy and ct scan.

Okay, the ct scan wasn't so bad and the other...well, I was out, but still. All I can say is I'm glad I'm not gay. Yeesshhh! A great deal of nasty laxatives are bad enough. I don't like the idea of you know!

Anyway, I'm not going to get graphic. The doctor said there was signs of cancer in my colon. That's why I'm writing this. I'd like to ask for prayer. I don't know any better treatment.

I'm going to try not to worry. Worry is, as I've always believed, non productive. Worry is actually something I don't have time for. Well, I've also found faith isn't worth much if you don't put it to use.

Thus the request for prayer. If you're going into battle it would be foolish not to stockpile ammo ahead of time. Would you want to go into a fight without being prepared? I don't want to do that.

I wouldn't want to face this situation without all the help I can get. I don't want to face this situation. Besides having a book coming out soon I just learned about a month ago I will become a Grandpa this fall. Too much to look foreward to this year.

I realize I have annoyed a few people last year with some of my political views, but hope most of that is water under the bridge now. If there're any hard feelings now I'm sorry.

Of course, I'm still standing by what I wrote, but I'd be a coward if I didn't. The main thing now is move on.(Isn't that the name of some PAG?) Whatever. Anyway, I'd like to ask for prayer and whatever I get will be appreciated.

For those who will be with me in prayer through what is ahead: God Bless You! For the rest...God bless you as well and hope, in the words of me Irish great granny, if He don't turn your hearts may he turn your ankles so I'll know you by your limp. I hope I don't see a lot of limping out there. God be with you and thanks for your patience.
