Feb. 9, 2005 A few days ago I came across an interesting article regarding the University of California, I don’t know which particular campus, is entertaining the idea of placing bar codes on the bodies of cadavers that they are using for medical or scientific studies. Yes, that’s right. Bar codes. Most people would look at this article and pass it on as something that’s kinda weird but not noteworthy except me. What disturbs me is the fact that some small things, lately, have taken place and are now all adding to a bigger picture. When one looks at the enormity of a huge skyscraper that dots the cityscape and considers the total mass, one is awestruck by the sheer size of the building. But if you look at just one floor it doesn’t seem so big or enormous. Over the past last 50 years more and more events have taken place that, taken one by one, doesn’t add up to much. But seen in the larger picture really has me shaken. And this last one about the bar codes has sent up some red flags. Let me explain. When the fall of Communist Russia happened, the world rejoiced over the fact that the two super powers that held the world as a hostage to nuclear holocaust was now over. A sigh of relief was heard all around the globe because we all knew that it would only be a little while longer before China followed suit. What finally made the USSR crumble was western ideals and culture. A culture based on the belief that it is everybody’s God given right to be free, prosper and be successful. The Chinese government is finding it harder and harder to make their people tow the line now. More and more of their citizens want to become owners not just slaves that work for the common good of all Chinese. The worse thing that China could have done was to bring Hong Kong back into the fold. I say that because Hong Kong was a hotbed of capitalism. It was a seething cauldron of western influences that has now spilled over into China’s mainland and has begun to infect the population. This infestation can not be contained and within a decade or two Communist China will be no more. Many will applaud the demise of the dastardly Communist machine and I would be one but what other menace lurks out there that we don’t know about? What other doctrine or religion will rear its ugly head and begin to prey upon mankind after the Commies are gone? Although many would predict fanatic Muslim extremists, you might be surprised by my take on the situation. Let take a look at recent history, in 1947, the State of Israel was born. For the first time in a couple of thousand years the Jews now have a home. We are hearing more and more good news reports coming out of the Middle East stating that the Palestinians and the Israelis are getting closer and closer to the peace table. Maybe within a few short years all fighting will have stopped within that war torn country and Jews and Muslims will be able to coexist as friendly neighbors. This is a good thing. It may begin the journey that will change attitudes all along the Middle Eastern borders. But what governments enact people sometimes will not obey. And I believe that the Muslim fanatic factions are here to stay and won’t be wiped out as Bush and his buddies believe. Which might be another good thing. In 1944 the United States created a weapon that had the capacity to destroy a city, country or the entire world with just a flip of a switch. Because of the arms race between the USSR and the USA, the overall combined nuclear capabilities of both nations could have destroyed our civilization thirty or forty times over. Thank God the USSR threat is over and we have scaled down our arsenal. But the ability to wipe out mankind is definitely still within our grasp. And here we go with my take on things, I’m sure there are many apocalyptic experts out there that know the Biblical prophecies backwards and forwards. They can tell you when this prophesies was fulfilled and when that one was. Many experts will tell you that many of the prophecies were fulfilled within the first century AD, which they were. Numerous experts looked at the rebirth of Israel and took notice because they realized that this was a major prophecy that had been fulfilled within their lifetime. They also looked at the birth of the nuclear age and knew that here was another major fulfillment of the prophecies because now mankind had the ability to bring about the total destruction of the world. No other time in history did we have the ability to bring this about. Many experts look at the descriptions given in Revelations and were convinced that the Bible prophesied those scenes depicting a nuclear holocaust. With the creation of the European Union and the Euro currency another Biblical prophecy was fulfilled. More and more things are quickly coming together. As I was growing up many believed that the Anti- Christ and The Beast would be born out of the unholy Communist union. We all believed that they were the bad guys and the Devil was on their side. But now that they are gone, where will these two come from? Here’s where it gets tricky and I might lose and couple of you. I'm sorry but I can’t find anywhere in Revelations where it mentions that these two individuals would come from or be rulers of a country that was a dictatorship or a repressed society. We have all believed that the Anti- Christ and Beast were bad guys. They are, of course, but at the beginning is that the role they will be playing? Sure, Hitler and Stalin had many people enthralled with them but the majority of the world saw them as the despots that they were. And if we are living in the last days, with the lesson of World War 2 still lingering on, would the world follow blindly any leaders who are like these dictators? I don’t think so. So whom will they follow? Maybe the one world government that leads the world into the last days is a government based on democracy. With the rhetoric coming out of Washington these days, it sounds like we are on the march to create the world in our image. Bush and his buddies are spewing out the doctrine that the world and its peoples need to be free and if you’re not for us your against us. Are we beginning to see a US led march to conqueror the world for democratic values? Is the Bush administration the beginning of creating this one world government and leader based on the American dream? I don’t know but I’m feeling mighty uncomfortable. I mentioned earlier that Muslim extremists might be a good thing and you probably thought I was a nut case. But if what I surmise is beginning to happen then having dissension and groups around to stop this one world government, even if it is a democratic government, is not a bad thing. Sure bar codes on cadavers doesn’t really mean much but where will it lead to next? The next logical step is bar codes on the back of hands or the foreheads of the living. This code already exists in that thin black line on the back of our credit or debit cards. How much easier and convenient would it be to simply stamp it in plain sight for all law-abiding citizens to wear proudly to show their support for a safe and secure culture? Thus making our society safer from terrorism or fanatical thinking and by making life more tranquil. A utopian society based on a one-world government, one-world leader, and a one-world currency. Through our zeal to make the world like us, are we on the brink of bringing this world system about? Are the Republicans, instead of being the world’s saviors really the world’s worse nightmare? And do they even know what they are doing? Or are they just a puppet dancing on the world’s stage as the Anti-Christ and the Beast pull their strings? And keep in mind, if we are living in the last days, all these things will come to pass within a decade or two. I never imagined in my life that America would bring about the destruction of the world. I never imagined that we would create this one world government that would one day battle God for supremacy and lose. I always thought the bad guys would be someone else.
