Dec. 30, 2004 I really don't care about Britney Spears, other than she is a near-identical twin of my son's ex- girlfriend and she is physically an attractive young woman. But I can't otherwise get emotionally wrapped up in Britney or any other celebrity for that matter. She was, once, a fairly decent singer till she went for the little girl-sexpot genre. She has a former gymnast's body control and is not averse to putting it to use in sexually provocative manners, though I can't say that the Michael Jackson crotch-grabbing bit turns me on. Some of the other slinky undulations are pleasing to observe. Emotionally, she seems immature, perhaps got too much money too fast, and has trouble controlling her drinking. She also is impulsive, evidenced by her first "marriage." in Las Vegas and the immediate divorce. This does not bode well for her future, unless she can grow up, stop drinking too much, and behave in a bit more measured, serious, dare I say ADULT manner. She is acting much like a 12- yr-old who has been given a few satchels of thousand-dollar bills but no guidance as to how to handle it. One hopes she does not end up penniless like Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson, or other celebrities who have given no thought to purchasing investments and assets rather than blowing all the big bucks on fancy cars and clothes. This doesn't make her a bad person, but she isn't anyone I would want to hang out with. What the heck would one talk about? Current events? Terrorist threats? Politics? Religion? Philosophy? And if the report of foot odor is correct, I suggest she use Selsun Blue Shampoo to wash her feet with daily and use a medium brush. ------------ About the author Brooks A.
