Dec. 29, 2004 First, I want to take the time to thank everyone who voted for me. I didn’t realize that so many found my articles to be uplifting. The editor said that one of the voters said, “My pick for columnist of 2004 is Eric Schomburg. Simply because he’s the only columnist that talks about everything, not just politics.” I’m not going to take all the credit for being the one that brought Useless-Knowledge its great columns. I would like to name off a list of the great columnists that I enjoyed reading and that also deserve their appreciation from those who have read their columns. Ken Hughes Ron Lewis Robert Paul Reyes Judy Ramsook Craig Chamberlain Michael John McCrae Megan Williams (You have to give her credit, she brought an edge to UK) Stan Grimes Judy T. Lloyd Amanda Baker Dennis L. Siluk Thomas Keyes and Lee Zelhart I would like to thank them for working just as hard as I am when it comes to writing columns for Useless-Knowledge. They deserve it. I would like to thank the editor for giving us the freedom to voice OUR opinions and letting it be known to everyone. As far as the person who said that I write about everything, not just politics, I write about everything, because I’m concerned about everything. Of course if you read some of my columns I write subjects like video games, politics, religion, movies, music, life, pro- wrestling, and everything in between. To some, it may be Useless-Knowledge, but to others, it’s news to them. It is a true honor to be UK’s columnist of the year, and I hope to bring more columns to this great news organization.
