Seperation Of Church And State

By John H. Turner Jr.
Dec. 25, 2004

I am appalled at the turn of events regarding religion. The founding father's who wrote the constitution would turn over in the grave if they knew the way worship is viewed today in this country.

We are, and have been, or, supposed to be, a free nation, UNITED, and the free part, is so that everyone can worship God the way he feels is right. no one is to feel bad if another person worships differently than we do. we are to respect their feelings in this regard.

Taking the words regarding our trust in our God out of public buildings is a digrace to all those who came over here from England, France, and any other countries to get free from tyranny. To ban prayer from any place, is a shock to moral fiber. Before long we will not even be able to say a silent prayer over our food in a public place, because we might offend the neighbor, sitting at the next table.

If this country keeps going deeper into separatness from God or worship of God in what ever form each chooses, eventually we will be more tyrannical than any society in the past.

I think separation of church and state, meant, not allowing churches to rule the government, as some have done in days long gone bye.

On our money it states, "In God We Trust" of course that will not be there long, God isn't named on the money, so, what God, is up to the individual, after all we are free to worship as, "WE" see fit, while respecting the other person.
