Why Do Kids Work So Hard On Fundraisers?

By Kayley G
Dec. 21, 2004

Have your kids ever came home from school with a whole bunch of papers saying : "Sell ---- boxes of ---- and get a --- (prize)" ? Then your kids go door to door to everyone and their brothers house trying to sell this amount of boxes. And they bug relatives and friends about it. And they beg for you to take it to work so your co-workers can buy some. Then you collect all the money and send it in. It comes three weeks later and you have to go pick it up from school, you have to go deliver it all before it melts or spoils, and then your kids find out its a $5 Wal-Mart toy you could've went out and bought them. YOU go through all this hassle just so the school can expand their budget fund. Why not have the money go to St. Jude or some place useful. So my point is if this ever happens to you just go to Wal-Mart and buy them a toy! You'll thank yourself once you go talk to other parents who did the fundraiser.
