Dec. 18, 2004 So you have been observing how slowly your bath tub has been draining lately. Another day goes by, only this time, the tub is draining much slower than it did the day before. Knowing that this is a problem that has to be taken care of, you rush over to the store to purchase a liquid drain cleaner. After following the instructions on the label you then turn on the faucet to the tub. It is draining, but not as quickly as you had expected. Anyway, thinking that you have undoubtedly solved the problem, you go about your daily life. A few days later, you notice that the tub has returned to draining slowly again. Thinking now that maybe the liquid remover was not a longterm solution, you turn to the internet as a last resort before making that call to the plumber. This is where you learn of a device called 'Zip-It.' So you then go to your nearest 'Home Depot,' and after a considerably long search, (for some of the employees did not know they carried it) you find the 'Zip It' clog remover. Hoping that this plastic, rod like device with barbs on either side will rid your tub of whatever is slowing it down, you make a dash for home. On dipping it into your bath tub drain, you feel that it, the 'Zip-It' has grabbed on to something. So with wonder in your eyes, you pull it out, to witness the amount of hair mingled with soap/shampoo that you have managed to remove from the drain. With enthusiasm, you now are truly convinced that you can rid the drain of whatever else in the tub drain, so you repeat the process until you are satisfied that your tub is now free of the clog. I must say that this 'Zip-It' is a great tool for ridding your tub of hair that slows down the draining process. Just use it whenever you feel your tub's draining process is slowing down. If the liquid remover is not working for you give this a try, it can be found at your nearest 'Home Depot,' 'Lowes' or local hardware store. You will be happy with the results, for your tub will return to draining as fast as it should.
