Dec. 18, 2004 You know how I worry. Okay, I have gone over to the red states, I’m purple. Okay, the majority spoke and I accept that. Other things don’t have tweedle to do with Republicans and Democrats. It has more to do with money. Rather, money we don’t have as a nation. Iraq should be supplying a lot of oil at a small fee to us seeing as how our troops are helping them to get democracy with a free election and more control of their own country. Moreover, why didn’t we build up the humvees, tanks, and body armor BEFORE we went to war? If my kid was over there I would be upset. If it were me, over there, thinking I was a few-weeks- a-year and one weekend a month National Guard Soldier I would be thinking about my legal rights. Where’s the rest of the standing army, navy, marine personnel? All over the rest of the planet. Do you remember reading about Helen of Troy and giant fake wooden horse that fooled her into compliance? Me, too. So what if old Osama Bin Laden just wants to break our piggy bank? Now, he’s tweaking the Saudis knowing that many people there resent the power of the throne. That IS where he was born. Bush family knew the Bin Laden family. So what? I mean they’ve got an extremist in their folds. I don’t believe they want to “MOVE” to the US and work in the fields or in burger joints or change beds in Motel Notel. We don’t want to do that either. Think about the poor people that come up from Mexico to make a little money. That’s a rich country. However, the money is in the hands of a few millionaires and political people. If the Palestinians feel like Israel can nuke them with their 700 bombs, how do you think most Middle Eastern people feel about US being there? People want food, clothing and a decent life. Some of the people in Iraq will never ever have a normal life. Just like, we won’t because of 9- 11. If the extremist Muslims can force the country to fail financially why would they bother to bomb, it when if they wait long enough, let enough money, troops, resources to be spent them can just implode us. I do not think we’re falling in on ourselves yet. But, darling, it’s getting close. Dollar is down, travel is down, necessary items are UP. We had to skip Christmas this year. We had to use our tax break to pay my medical bills that the $700 a month insurance didn’t cover. I could just die but that doesn’t seem fair. When gluttons and thieves are taking the big part of the pie and we’re not doing well, does that make you think? My poor cat. He misses the glitter of Christmas, Kwanzaa and Hanukah. Even Ramadan with its feast at the end would have pleased him. He’s on the cheapest cat food from Grocery Outlet; because it’s full of starch (carbs) he’s getting fat. Sort of like people who have to live on pasta, bread, tortillas and other grain products. Too poor to buy imported $5.00 lb tomatoes. Oh, don’t worry. I am probably wrong. Nevertheless, my spouse is never wrong.
