I don't know what is going on in the world that a major religious leader would consider the assassination of a dictator. Premeditated murder; whether in support of abortion or in support of the war against certain types of terrorism, is just as wrong.

I suppose that there are many who would consider the deaths of tyrants a sort of "field expedient" method of gaining world peace. But these people are wrong in their estimations. There is only one avenue to world peace and that is through the Prince of Peace.

All the Prophets spoke of the one called Messiah. He would be the one who would eventually rule the world for one thousand years and hold peace for that period through the use of a rod of "iron". The iron rod would be necessary only because there would still be survivors of the great tribulation in the world harboring resentments and anger toward the world ruler.

There will be millions of malcontents during the 1000 year reign of the King. These malcontents will rise at the end of that 1000 year period in one last attempt to destroy the kingdom of God and Christ. They will fail and they will die.

There is nothing men can do to prevent God from fulfilling his plan. Jesus will come and he will destroy the armies arrayed against Israel. He will entomb the devil for a thousand years and then establish his world kingdom to fulfill his final promises to David and Abraham.

Christians need not fear this final curtain. Those who have finished their course; remaining faithful to the Messiah will escape the wrath to come and share in the wedding feast prior to the return. When they see earth again, it will be as the bride, following her bridegroom into the temporary dwelling to await the preparation of all the final things.

For one thousand years they will walk with Jesus on the earth and lift the souls that will share in the eternal kingdom. They will stand with Jesus against the armies that Satan will influence in that final time, and they will witness the final judgment of God against all the ungodly elements of eternity.

The new heavens and the new earth will be set and established as the final promised lands of the chosen nation. The New Jerusalem will be the made the eternal dwelling of those of the age of faith who knew and claimed salvation by grace through Jesus.

These things cannot be stopped. Men will plan and scheme but will find no solutions to the wars and the rumors of wars of this age. Men will continue to struggle against men; all the while as Satan attends to his deceits and his lies. Men will continue to believe the lie and when God sends his delusions upon men, they will be eternally lost.

Stand fast Christian. You who are sealed by the Spirit of God cannot be harmed.
