Aug. 26, 2005 Enough already! I am tired of hearing how it is Beth Holloway-Twitty’s and Natalee Holloway’s fault that she was abducted, possibly raped, and most likely killed. Those of you that say this would have never happened if Beth hadn’t let Natalee go to Aruba – you are right. Natalee would not have been there and we would most likely been hearing about another young girl that was missing on her trip – oh, maybe not this summer, but eventually. Whatever decisions they made are over with – it’s in the past. HOWEVER, neither the fact that Beth allowed Natalee to go to Aruba nor Natalee’s poor decision to get into the car with Joran (either by her own free will or not – we’ll apparently never know) are reason for her to have been raped and or killed. Those of you who think that this is all of their fault’s, I would assume you believe that because a woman wears a short skirt she is asking to get raped? Because she goes into a bar alone, she is asking to get groped or slipped a rufie? Because a woman walks down the street alone at dusk, night, or dawn, that she is ASKING to be abducted, raped, and or killed? They were all asking for it right? I guess then Lacy Peterson was asking for her unborn child and herself to be murdered? I mean it was all OBVIOUSLY Lacy’s fault, because, let’s face it, SHE MARRIED Scott, right? It was all Princess Diana’s fault she was killed, for if she hadn’t gotten in the car that night, or even left the house, she’d be alive right now. It’s entirely Elizabeth Smart’s parent’s fault she was abducted, for they should have never hired anyone to do repair work on their home. If her father had just done the work himself, she would have never had been kidnapped. Shame on LaToyia Figueroa for trusting the father of her unborn child – if she had simply not bothered with him, she’d be alive right now. Are you all starting to see how completely ludicrous this all sounds? Wake up people! By simply living your life, you are not giving someone just cause to assault, abduct, or kill you.
