Who in God’s green Earth does he think he is – calling for the United States Government to pull the trigger and ‘take out’ the President of Venezuela? Look out America, the Conservatives are drunk with power, again. America has suffered the loss of our own President’s by the bullets of self-righteous individuals. Do we need to mark a man for death because a religious zealot - who proudly endorses the Republican Party & President Bush, suggests that our Black Operations Units immediately "Get’er Done?" Mr. Robertson sites Manifest Destiny & the Monroe Doctrine as a Prime Directive to take such an action? Who let Mr. Robertson out of the sanitarium? On CNN, he sat there - thinking that his outrageous thoughts were sane, and that the American people would agree with him. Wrong! The United States of America, whose Sons & Daughters are spilling their blood in the name of freedom in Iraq – the families who have lost their young adult children who were Mothers & Fathers, killed in that conflict, would personally charge Mr. Robertson with a 51-50 (a threat to himself and others). Imagine, if Mr. Robertson was elected President? The Militants & their Leaders, who masterminded the 9-11 massacre – YES, should be hunted down and sent to Purgatory with a transfer to Hell! Mr. Robertson’s statements may have the opposite effect by declaring open season on our own elected officials, as well. Personally, I do not agree with a vast majority of President Bush and his administration’s policies. In addition, I believe the invasion of Iraq was a huge error. The ramp-up to the War was based on faulty intelligence and hasty decision making by supposedly experienced and intelligent individuals (I can visualize my e-mail box filling with opposing opinions – Relax, folks. I am entitled to my opinion). As of this writing, the Iraqi’s are burning the midnight oil (which they have in abundance) trying to get a Constitution drafted, and appeasing every religious faction that desires more marbles out of the power grab-bag. If it were not for the United States – this experiment in Democracy would not have occurred. Okay. I will give President Bush, his Administration, Advisors, and our Military Kudo’s for that one. However, our presence in Iraq is the only factor that is keeping that dream alive, combined with the deaths reported every day of our brave young men & women in uniform. The Iraqi Army and Police are not prepared to protect the country or maintain the emerging democratic government. In one felt swoop, the militants will rush in – the Iraqi Army & Police will (as we have seen time and time again, in past news coverage) change sides. President Bush is praying that once the Iraqi Constitution is ratified, there will not be a Civil War instigated by those who lack power. Mr. Bush, please stay SANE – and do not commit another historical error by ordering the assassination of anyone. Publicly disavow Pat Robertson’s comments. Permanently distance yourself from that irrational maniac. All eyes are on you, Mr. Bush. What are you going to do when your Poll Numbers take an extreme Nosedive, due to your political association with Mr. Robertson? You already have 1970’s type war protesters camped out near your ranch. The difference between then and now is that the protesters are Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Husbands, Wives and Friends of over eighteen hundred fallen Hero’s. What are you going to do now, Mr. Bush? Please shut-up Mr. Robertson – NOW! Let us all remain sober and in control of our mental faculties.
