Aug. 21, 2005 Today’s question, is there intelligent life forms on Earth? I say it is questionable, especially in the U.S. of A. We are still killing our men and women in Iraq. You ask, “We are killing them?” I say we are doing it because we elected the Chimpanzee now sitting in the oval office. Yes, the same cowboy that had his Secretary of Defense present an elaborate hoax to the American public to convince them that Weapons of Mass Destruction existed in Iraq. We fell for it and we elected him king. We make fun of Cindy Sheehan, who, on a small scale is doing what thousands of anti-war protestors did in the late sixties. Remember the chant, “Hell no, we won’t go?” That was the mantra of college protestors in places like Berkley and Kent State. Our brave polices killed some of them, Remember Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, “Four Dead in Ohio? Do you remember the hit, “War?” How soon we forget. Do you believe there is a difference in war? That human live blood has changed texture over the years? Well, don’t. War is war. Cindy Sheehan is practicing her constitutional right. She is doing what some of us are too damn complacent to do. She is standing for her son’s death. She loved him and doesn’t want his death to be in vain. Maybe she is tired of seeing the brightest and the youngest die for a war that was only a sham created by a man possessed with an obsession, an obsession for control. Whose toes does he step on? Every freedom loving American’s. My thought for today, “Don’t get comfortable Mr. Bush. Your war will bite the Republicans on the butt at the next election. Your neglect of the rights of all Americans will lose the next election and your total lack of interest in the environment will be the downfall of the Republican Party in 2008.” Don’t get comfortable. We are a gullible people. For some reason we trust politicians and that is scary. Politicians have their hands open to every lobbyist that carries a checkbook. No president has won the election without millions of dollars to support their campaign. That should tell us something, but it doesn’t because, after all, politicians wouldn’t deliberately lie to us, right? Wrong.
You may sing Bush’s praises now, but ten years from when your children inherit the earth, you will curse the day he reinforced his communist-like Patriot Act, an act that is a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.
