Enslavement By Congress And Our President

By Dennis L. Siluk
Aug. 19, 2005

I do wish there was a middle ground sometimes. It seems to me, the left goes too far to the left, or has in the past, and now the right is doing the same. Perhaps that is why we have two parties, to put one back into balance when it gets off track. Yes, the democrats are responsible for many good things in the past, not so much during the past 30-year though, but before that, so is my opinion. Anyhow, the right has done well in a conservative way, but it is starting to enslave, and that is not what America is all about. One element being, the bankruptcy laws just passed (there is another area I will bring out at a later date, should I wish to it). It now is eight years for filing between bankruptcies, compared to six years previously. That is not bad in itself. Matter-of-fact, we needed some refinement in this area.

But when you are telling the folks on the left they have to jump threw 20-hoops to get to the top, it is not good. Why! Listen up. You tell the left, or the poor, to be responsible, and they should, because with rights, comes responsibilities. But how about the right [?] The ones giving the credit to the poor to enslave them, to have a yoke around their necks—forever sometimes.

I am not sure if anyone realizes what the new law says in this area, that takes effect today--I think. You will be hounded for six months to pay your debts at the time applying for Chapter 7; and persuaded to go to Chapter 13, if possible, and believe you me, they will, within this time take your house, for there are also waiting periods involved; thus, I say again, the house can be taken away during this time; not that the bank wants your house back, they would prefer you pay of course. But they will get the house, and you will pay the difference: meaning, court, lawyer fees, and if they sold the house for $20,000-less than what you owed on it, you will pay that back on a, perhaps new loan they will force you to take. It is not a good.

The question I’m concerned with is more ethical, we can all learn what the new law is by tuning into it on the internet. So I don’t have to tell you. But what it amounts to is enslavement. The banks whom give out all the credit cards won a victory; for they were the big pushers. They can charge 30%, give anyone a card: eight to eighty, blind crippled or crazy, and when they can’t pay, enslave them. Take what they have; go to their bank accounts and grab 30% of what they have, or go to their work and do the same. There is no accountability on the banks side.

In Peru, you don’t get a credit card by simply asking, you have to show you can handle it. Anyone who needs a little money in America, the credit card company seems to be willing to take a chance will you; with a one minute filled out, report: name, address, amount of money you make (you can put anything in that box you want), and the date, and three weeks later, you got plastic up the tuba. When the laws wre originally made for chapter 7, it was assumed the right would be responsible, I don't think anyone at the time figured to the contrary.

This is not what America is about. Enslavement by Congress and our President. I support him in many things, but this is just plain wrong, and I hope it is repealed, if it can be. Bush was smart though, as I told my friends, he waited until after he was elected to sign the decree, after he got the Christian vote. If this continues, I may have no choice but to change sides on my next vote.
