Aug. 17, 2005 I have noticed as of late all the “reality” shows on the tube. The original ones like Survivor, Big Brother, American Idol and Fear Factor are awesome and original, but the flood gates are open now and enough is enough. We can thank Chuck Baris for starting all of this with his “Gong Show” which stems back to the thirties. My cousins Dennis and Richard and they know who they are, were an awesome force in my delve into the comedy field. I wouldn’t be in this if it weren’t for them. Dennis Cesternino is to this day the one of the best comedic minds in this century. His timing is impeccable. Richard his brother is also a comedic genius. Dennis who named his son after me so I have been told many times over was dubbed “the best player of Survivor who didn’t win.” I just feel the need to thank them for making me what I am today. Now for my reason for being here is that I have an idea for my own reality show. I call it “Rock of Ages.” We all had seen American Idol at one time or another I am sure. The age limit is twenty something for this show. I respect this because it is the rules. My rules for “Rock of Ages” will be as follows. Anyone at any age that has a rock group can try out. I don’t care if they are in there nineties or teens because lets face it, rock is rock. I think it would be fun to see what we start with and end up with. Another idea would also apply to “Rap.” This one could be called “Rap it Up.” Although I do not like that kind of music I know there is a market for it so lets see it happen. This was just a thought I wanted to talk about before someone borrows the idea and makes it happen. You read it here first. I am so tired of seeing crazy nannies and chef’s infested with mad cow disease.
