Apr. 25, 2005 Should I keep writing? Is anyone reading my articles? Am I wasting my time? These are the questions I've asked myself for years. I did not have an answer to any of these questions till a few days ago. I received an email from a young couple that lost their baby daughter. They didn't get into specifics, but what they said spoke volumes. They thanked me for a story I wrote. Now, I've written many stories for the web, so I didn't really know which one they were referring to. As the email went on, I remembered the story they were talking about. I wrote it eight years ago, and to be honest with you, I completely forgot about it. It was an inspirational story on a Church web site. It was a story about death and GODS plan for us. It wasn't my best work, but it was honest and obviously uplifting. This couple thanked me for my support, and asked me to Pray for them. Which I did. I've never made any
money for my original articles, that is not why I write. I just wanted to write,
and maybe someone would notice me. The emails I get on a daily basis, inspire
me, and keep me writing. Do I want to be famous? Sure, who doesn't. But for now,
I'll keep writing, and if just one of my articles touches someone in a special
way, well, that's payment enough.
