Apr. 24, 2005 When Michelle said she was having a book published, I had mixed thoughts. First, I thought it would be one of those vanity books the author pays to have published. As time went on and I heard nothing, I thought it could have been Michelle fell asleep during one of those book review programs on PBS and dreamed the whole thing up. To my surprise I received an invitation from her publisher to purchase an advanced copy of her book, [Three Years With Adonis.] Two days ago, I received my copy of Michelle’s book in the mail. I was reluctant to commit to start reading, still not convinced I would have the heart to be considerate in case it was a dud. Finally, I read the last page first. You can tell a lot about a book by reading the last page, not bad. It enticed me to read the Prologue that encouraged me to go to the first chapter. I’m still in the first chapter, the realism in frightening. I can almost smell the perfume and feel those hot bodies near me. I have no idea if this is a biography or even near being one. I know if it isn’t her bio, Michelle has one hell of an imagination. I can recommend reading Michelle’s book with the following warning. Be prepared for more detail than is in most books. Michelle has written 410 pages that could have been said in 300 pages or so. This in no way detracts from the quality of her book. It’s an excellent book and the writing is outstanding. No, I’m not being paid for this review. ------------ About the author: Ken Hughes is prone to an occasional grammatical error and an occasional misspelled word. He claims to have learned to write by reading the Old Testament. Therefore, if you have problems with his writing talk to God. If his spelling offends you talk to Bill Gates. Ken believes its the message thats important, the rest is nonsense.
