Apr. 23, 2005 I wrote an article a while back one how Capital One kept calling me to speak to somebody I did not know. I finally was assurred by a manager that the problem had been fixed and that I would not recieve more calls. But nothing changed and they still telelphone. The lesson I have learned is that in these modern times someone's word is not enough. I wonder what kind of an organization can just tell you straight out that the problem is being fixed when it is not. Why not say that they will look into it? Or even more honestly say that they think I am a liar and that they will continue calling until armagedon. Well what can one do? I even recieved an e- mail saying that they recieved my e-mail and are working on the problem but need more info and could I call them at such and such a number. Funny thing is that I never sent an e-mail. So I replied simply saying that I'd be interested to see the e-mail in question. No word from them on that. Surprise surpise. Well when I asked if they could call back in ten minutes because I was busy, again they took it as an admonission that I knew who they were talking about. "Why would you want us to call back", asks the lady. "Because I know you will anyhow," was my reply. Capital One is simply a common harrassment agency. In our super-info-phone-fax-banking-lending- telephone-creditcard-jingle-jangle-of modernity, we have lost something. What exactly the something is I do not know but I do know its been lost as I am feeling the presence of its absense everytime Capital One telephones looking for a Camilla who lives at this residence this they are certain of but I never met her maybe she is hiding in the guest bathroom or something end of sentence period but probably not the end of ring ring ring ring from the telelphone due to my friends from Capital One... I should sue them for mental anquish that is the modern way.
