Apr. 22, 2005 So the conclave has come and gone, so also the hopes and aspirations of the black man and Third World that a non -European [non white] would ever preside at not another 78, 79 ,80, 81......90, 91 years. What were the chances of that ever happening? Shoot it would have been a gyp!No one may know, but honestly speaking did anyone ever think it would happen y'now racism and all, third worldism and all that .....we all saw how the world cup was teased off us and we only got because South Africa got a lot of home grown white that actually blend in with the locals and thet plenty too!!! The world ain't ready for a black figure head important, so potent. Africans may have been ready [as they are for a good quality of life,a life free from diseases of debt, of war, real diseases....] but oh ho not hte rest of the world, the non african rest of the world.Heck that would mean miracles like shelving of the myths of debt relief, foreign aid,debt cancellation .....the halt to exploitation and neo colonialism. Maybe the morbid fear is that if ther were to be a black pope -a huge segment of black North America would hijack the right to name process and give ghetto names like Pope John P. Diddy The Third; or Coolio Benedictus The Sixth!! Who am I - not even a syndicated columnist with trhe Script's-Howard or the N.Y. Times to accuse the Vatican of ........gging??!!! Yeah, yeah....it's just fact that were the black man's conditon to infinitesimally change in anyway -that would be unacceptable [and a black pope would find the black man's present condition unacceptable] and a black pope would be unacceptble.
