Apr. 22, 2005 There are many different religions and beliefs in the United States. It now seems that one group of people want the rest of the people to follow their views, in matters of prayer, abortion and stem cell research. If we do not move forward with compassion and understanding, we will move backward. Let us all put our private beliefs behind the good for all humankind and work to solve problems. We do not need problems. We need to solve everyday problems with daily life. Let religion solve the ethics of private morality. Let us hope that others do not work to see their own beliefs made into law at the cost of those who feel differently. The biggest recent screw-up has been the government’s involvement in the life/death of Terri Schiavo. Why can’t we see that it is the United STATES and not the united CHURCH?
