Apr. 12, 2005 I guess it's time to tell all you new vets the rules of engagement at the VA hospitals. 1. Join it. It's your right you paid your dues. 2. Watch them because they try to save on costs, such as not washing hands after each person or not even wearing gloves. Don't let that happen, believe me you will get an infection, and make sure you watch them change gloves. 3. Make sure you watch them wash instruments. Make sure you join before having to go for some reason because you will spend all day in the emergency room waiting for your turn. And if you need to make an appointment it usually is six or seven months average before you get it. So good luck. ------------ About the author Chris Wills: I am a self-employed private investigator with a background in law enforcement and military. I served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army and in law enforcement rose in ranks from patrolman to investigator to deputy chief of police and acting chief of police. When in the Army I served as a (97F) psyops specialist where I was tasked to write and produce material in all media formats for enemy consumption. I live in a quaint little valley in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with a creek full of trout in my back yard so when I am not working or writing, I am chasing that elusive giant trout that taunts me. If I ever catch it I will throw it back to try and catch it again. Comming out soon! THE DARKER SIDE OF EARTH. The second of a sci-fi trilogy of THE OTHER STORY. Will be out before xmas.
