Mar. 6, 2010 Dear President Obama and all the Government officials in the US who read blogs and tweets: Why not follow the excellent examples of the past presidents and instead of bailing out companies and throwing away their hard earned money, those of the US citizens to other countries, why not invest in your own people? Do you have a grudge against us the people who voted you ALL in? Us the people who work harder than you ever will and scrounge and scrap for every hardscrabble penny we have today? Have you ever noticed how us and the US are the same letters? Anyway, since we are, and lets face we are in the hard new reappearance of the 1930s depression, why not be proactive and put the money of the government where we need it, Into US. Give US a reason to get up in the morning. Bring back the WPA (Work Progress Act) and the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) and bring back real Home Relief, the way all of these programs worked and give us a reason to be here. The WPA would provide work and jobs to those who can do what they can. Women can make and create products and more important a sense of pride in themselves. Create new Military products, and stop buying from overseas. Remember Rosy the riveter? Remember building tanks, and planes and ships? Remember military needs and wants? Bring back programs that give jobs to create those. If we are going to be in wars, and we will always be in wars; we need our own equipment. Why not fund companies to make equipment? The CCC boys built most of the roads and maintained parks. Our parks are being ravaged and in need of cleanup and replanting. Why not bring back the CCC, give men and women a place to work and feel needed. Our men and women need jobs, end of story. Fat Cats and government officials do not need bigger raises, more money to blow on garbage and things. What we need is hope, and I am sorry to say we don’t have any. Maybe we can buy some from overseas. But wait, we don’t have the money to buy it because we have no jobs and all of our companies that would employ us would rather outsource work. What the companies and government is telling us, the citizens YOU DON’T MATTER, and it is driven home every single day. We, as the foundation and rootstock of this country do not matter. We are nothing but money, a number and your life is nothing. But if, just if, someone would stand up and say, it worked back then, it can work again. Give us hope, give us jobs give us a reason to be here and give us the incentives to start businesses and create products we can do what we have done, begin a new. Don’t give it to big business that will just mis-manage it. Remove stigma and barriers, make getting small business grants available to anyone with a good idea or business plan and give US people the stipend you so willingly send to other countries. The WPA and CCC programs would bring back industry, pride, hope and generate a flowing rotating income. Imagine small ghost towns becoming booming towns again by the sound of self-sufficient industry? Imagine roads being fixed without the need for bidding contracts and bidding wars and undercut materials. Imagine people once again having pride instead of desperation. Imagine it a country united and working together. Imagine a revolution of people lifted up. Imagine a population lifted up. Imagine a country that is not relying on outsourcing, and providing services and goods locally and keeping costs down. Imagine it a US Utopian Society of people living and breathing and having something to wake up to. Make it here, use it here, spend it here, keep it here! So to all of you who are reading this, the idea is simple. We the People of the US, are those more in need than those of other countries. We are the starving, homeless and poor that you refuse to see.
We are the hopeless, we are the neglected, we are the lost and forgotten, because we are right under your nose, in your own back yard, your neighbor, your brother, your society, your nation.
