In a certain year over a town in Lockerbie Scotland an airplane went down and fingers were pointed at a country called Libya whose leader had been called various names including 'mad dog'. The west led by USA led a campaign of ostracizing the country for a number of years making sure that Libya was made to begin paying for the said crime -of masterminding the said crime. It all went according to script and Libya was made to 'suffer' for the crime... Then Libyan oil hit the international oil market and all West began running hither and thither in order to 'secure'... suddenly Libya was inundated with options and offers from far and wide..." say you did it and we will lessen the sanctions, we will accept you once more into and among the brotherhood of good people once again." And the Libyan leader crafty to the core added his incentive, oil money! All went well until a clause that may have been overlooked in the euphoria following the sighting of the dollar bills- the release of one of the said bombers. All heck broke loose not only just because the prisoner serving a life sentence now having secured a reprieve because of money acceted but also because he got a hero's welcome on arriving home. What did the West expect? If Libya was as bad as the press and world opinion dubbed it then people do change and the bomber found true remorse while in 'life' and has agreed to no longer blow up any more airplanes... It is laughable that the west would expect the man to go back to a dungeon being that the the country maintained he was innocent all the time and only agreed to serve him up to appease the 'gods', the gods do not remain angry for ever, especially where oil and other people's dollars are involved. Now the due has been paid and the script must run as written.
You cannot dine with the devil and hope to get to go for the barbecue.
