Having read the Will and researched the gentlemen that Michael appointed as Executors, I cannot think of three more experienced and trustworthy individuals to handle the estate of the late MJ. These are people extremely well versed in the music business and who have benefited MJ in many ways in the past. There can only be ONE reason why MJ's mother would want to become Executor of his Will...to totally control the money in order to not only benefit his children but her other children as well. When Michael finally separated himself from the Jackson Five it was his mother who begged him to return to the group for the Victory Tour. Filming the now infamous Pepsi commercial was also part of that deal and it was Joe who ran the whole thing. This was the man who the brothers had fired as their manager and who Michael especially wanted nothing to do with on a business or personal level. Michael could not say no to his mother so he went along. The tour was only moderately successful and we all know what transpired during the Pepsi commercial. In general, the entire thing was a fiasco and altered MJ's life forever. Michael Jackson's own mother betrayed him for the sake of her other children, her husband and for the family's future wealth. Now she wants to be in charge of future earnings that come to his estate. Those earnings will most likely be astronomical. Right now Katherine will receive a 40% cut from Michael's estate. If she should die the remainder of her earnings will go to Michael's children...NOT to his nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters or his father. If she gains control of the estate she can apportion the funds as she sees fit and you better believe that other than the 40% left to Michael's children, the rest will not go to them . What a total lack of respect for the son who brought her great wealth and fame. A son who worshipped her and believed in her. This is a woman who did not stop Michael's father from mistreating him and his brothers and who did nothing to intervene when she knew that her son was in deep and deadly trouble with his abuse of drugs. They can claim from now until doomsday that they tried to intervene but I DO NOT believe that Katherine made any real attempts at trying to save her son from himself. It has been reported that Michael refused to take her phone calls when he got wind of the fact that the family planned an intervention but I DO NOT believe that he would have permanently cut his mother off and had she wanted too she could have done more. Perhaps Katherine Jackson is the Saint that Michael portrayed her to be but I am not buying it. Since his death all I have seen is a family who is trying to cash in on his name at every opportunity and a mother who wants to take control of matters that Michael had other plans for. Michael Jackson may have been an addict and an eccentric but he was also known for being an exceptionally sharp business man and if he appointed certain individuals to take charge of his estate then I believe that he knew that those individuals would do a good job and enhance his assets on behalf of his children for many years to come. The saddest thing of all aside from the death of man with so much talent and the fact that he felt so much pain throughout his life is the fact that his own blood relatives are worse than any enemies that he may have had surrounding him.
They accuse others of taking advantage of him and using him for their own gain...I say that with a family like that Michael didn't need any enemies.
