July 21, 2009 On "Larry King Live", last night, both Joe Jackson and a man named Leonard Rowe (no relation to Debbie Rowe) made some astounding claims regarding AEG, the company that was arranging Michael's famous 50 concert dates. They claimed that AEG had lied to Michael concerning the amount of dates he was to perform, fired all of the "good" people surrounding Michael and had completely taken over Michael's life virtually making him a prisoner in his own home. There were more accusations and some even suggested foul play concerning MJ's death. It was a very risky thing to do since AEG most likely has signed contracts and is a powerful entity. I am now waiting to see how AEG reacts to being slandered in the public arena. I doubt that they will take the accusations lying down and without a reaction that could very well lead to a lawsuit. Joe Jackson also denied that he ever "beat" MJ and said that he was a good father who was totally responsible for the success of The Jackson Five and Michael's career as well. Joe did play a huge part in the creation and success of the Jackson boys and Michael but he certainly wasn't responsible for the great talent that Michael possessed and went on to exhibit throughout his career. Michael wrote many of his own songs and created his own dance moves on his own AFTER he left the group and Joe Jackson's management. I would credit MJ for most of the success that he had as a solo artist. There is also a report that Joe plans to take his surviving sons on tour singing and dancing to new songs that have never been released and that were recorded and written by Michael. There will be some sort of hologram or screen showing Michael performing while the brothers appear live. Natalie Cole did this with "Unforgettable" and sang with her late father Nat King Cole but she did it tastefully and as a tribute to her dad. I doubt that MJ would approve of this endeavor and I doubt that it will be tasteful. Is there nothing that Joe Jackson and his family won't do to make money off of MJ?The Jackson sons (minus MJ) are talented to a certain extent, but they are not in the same league as Michael was when it comes to talent and if I were them I'd be embarrassed to do this. I would hope that no one would pay to see this travesty and that if Michael's new songs are released, that only he is given credit for them. It has been stated that the songs are in some kind of a "vault" and I am having a difficult time trying to figure out exactly how Joe Jackson will get into that "vault". He had little to no contact with his son in recent years and I am positive that Michael would not have given Joe access to his unreleased material. Is this why Katherine wants to get rid of the Executors of MJ's Will so that she can control this material and turn it over to her husband and sons? This story will go on and on as long as there is a Jackson surviving Michael and as long as they continue attempting to live the lifestyle that they'd like to become accustomed too. It makes me wonder just how interested the Grandparents are in caring for those three children who are the innocent pawns in this story of greed and lies. Here are a couple of links to the interview with Joe Jackson: http://freedotamaps.blogspot.com/2009/07/joe-jackson-larry-king-video-joe.html http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0907/20/lkl.01.html You decide for yourself if there was any truth to what Joe Jackson and his friend told Larry King.
Keep your eyes open for a response from AEG...it should be interesting.
