Aug. 21, 2009 America is truly a paranoid nation, not that there isn't plenty of paranoia in other countries. There are paranoid right-wingers and paranoid left-wingers everywhere, but for entirely different reasons. Right-wingers are paranoid about the Obama administration's supposed plan to turn America into another totalitarian communist dictatorship of the Soviet or Chinese kind, and are terrified that the IRS will tax them out of existence. If you think the McCarthy communist scare of the the 50s is a thing of the past, you're dead wrong ! And right-wing gun nuts are also terrified of having government agents invade their homes to confiscate their weapons. And right-wingers are also terrified of the "gay agenda". Oh my God,if we don't stand up to these horrible perverts, traditional marriage is threatened ! And we mustn't have these awful people in our schools, or all our children are doomed to be recruited ! And these conservative are convinced that we must do something about those awful atheists, or they will undermine this nation's moral fibre with their horrible moral relativism. And we mustn't teach evolution in our schools, or our children are doomed. Now for the paranoia of the left-wingers . Racism, sexism and homophobia are everywhere in America ! We've got to stop it ! White people are demons who are responsible for all the ills of mankind ! There's also, lookism, ableism, thisism and thatism everywhere. White policemen are all evil racists who want to shoot any innocent black person they might get their hands on ! We must punish any one who makes racist, sexist or homophobic comments to prevent these horrible ills of society ! Blacks can't get into college or get good jobs because of rampant discrimination ! All men are rapists, and that's all they are, or at least potential rapists. We've got to ban Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler magazine to prevent rape and the oppression of women. The opposition to pictures of naked women is one thing that both conservatives and many left-winger have in common. America is a horrible evil country which has oppressed, enslaved and slaughtered blacks and Native Americans for centuries, and is responsible for wars, slaughter, oppression and imperialism everywhere on the planet !
I'd like to ask one question. Are there any sane people left in America ?
