Sept. 18, 2008 Unlike the Natalee Holloway investigation, I have
absolutely no involvement in finding Caylee Anthony. I have no inside
information, only a personal opinion.
I won't rehash the many lies told by Casey Anthony
or her mother's apparent delusional, inconsistent behavior either. I will state
my opinions regarding this horribly sad and frustrating case.
The police investigating this case must all be
suffering from battle fatigue. Casey has led them down a path akin to falling
down the rabbit hole in Alice In Wonderland. Casey's attorney (?) has demanded
that all processing of evidence be stopped which is a ridiculous request since
his client hasn't been charged with the death of the child which gives him
absolutely no standing in the court's eyes at this time.
Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony is either in severe
denial or is delusional. She enabled her daughter to steal, lie and cheat for
many years and now she continues to do more of the same. If you look up- the
words dysfunctional family in the dictionary I suspect that you will find a
picture of Cindy and Casey Anthony.
How can the grandparents have doubts as to the
merits of the evidence that the forensic labs have brought froth or that the
police investigation is incomplete or bogus? Their own daughter is the ONLY one
responsible for the stalemate that appears to have been reached at this point in
the investigation. The police continue to pursue every credible lead and have
been taken in so many wrong-headed directions that their heads must be
spinning.
We are now seeing Leonard Padilla, the self
proclaimed "Bounty Hunter" appearing on various news shows as a credible
talking head...WTF???? This is the man who originally put up the bond for Casey
and insisted that he alone would solve the case within a week of her release. He
has changed his story as many times as Casey and Cindy have. He has stated that
he never actually spoke to Casey (other than a nod of her head and recognition
that he bailed her out), and now he claims to have had conversations with her
and her family on a regular basis. Which is it Leonard? Did she ignore you and
retreat to her room to play on her computer or did she talk to you? I doubt the
latter. This man has helped to blur the real investigation and probably the slim
to none chance that Casey would ever tell the truth regarding her daughter. Now
he is a legitimate guest on many shows and his word is taken as gospel.
It makes me wonder about the true motives of the
stars of the shows (Greta and Nancy in particular) who go to him for information
that at the very least is highly suspect. It appears to me that he makes up a
sound bite for every occasion and that he is always ready to supply them with
something new to drive the ratings and make the case more interesting. After
all, he has to recoup something for putting up $50,000 for a lying, sociopathic
girl.
There is nothing simple about this case other than
the fact that the evidence that has been brought forth thus far is damning and
indicates that the child is deceased. Her mother appears to be the prime suspect
and she has implicated herself without help from anyone else. Her own mother
(Cindy) makes her look even more guilty by back-tracking and making ridiculous
statements on behalf of her daughter. It was a"rotting pizza covered in maggots"
rather than a decomposing body,"There was no
smell whatsoever in the car", "It smells like there was a dead body in the damn
car" and on and on it goes. Come on Cindy, even you know that you sound like an
idiot.
The Anthony's are not laymen; Cindy is a registered
nurse and George is a retired cop...they have experience and knowledge that the
average person doesn't have. They also have lived with their thieving, lying
daughter for all of her life and they know what she is capable of. They have
allowed her to bully their family and hold them hostage with her daughter as
bait.
Enough of this garbage. I don't see any merit in
talking to the Anthony family and I don't see any point to the many protestors
outside their home who are wreaking havoc on their neighbors with the nose,
shouting and fighting. Curiosity is one thing but involving yourself in
something that you cannot change is another. Go home and get a life and let the
police investigate.
I do not believe that Casey Anthony will break her
silence or tell the truth about her daughter. I do not believe that she is
capable of having enough empathy or remorse to put an end to this farce. I also
do not believe that her parents will stop defending the indefensible so
what is the point of the vigil outside their home?
If Caylee is dead and out in the elements it
is unlikely that a cause of death will be established if she is ever
found. This case will come down to circumstantial forensic evidence which
does not lie. It will come down to whether or not a jury believes what Casey
Anthony puts forth as her defense when and if they ever charge her with
something more serious than child neglect or economic crimes.
I believe that the charges will come at some point
and that they will most likely be manslaughter since thus far there is no
evidence of homicide. They will probably get a conviction on that charge and may
possibly be able to up the charge to homicide or negligent homicide if something
or someone else comes forth with better evidence and some grain of truth
regarding what actually happened to that little girl.
This is NOT Aruba so I have confidence that someday
there will be justice for Caylee Anthony. I too would love to see her come home
alive but at this point I have to believe what some VERY reputable labs have
produced. What they have produced is NOT a rotten pizza.
I felt a lot of sympathy for the grandparents of
Caylee until I realized that the mother (and possibly the father) are complicit
in creating the empty vessel who is their daughter. Had they done something
about her behavior a long time ago this little child might still be alive
today.
The only thing rotten in this case is what is going
on in the Anthony household among the people who live there.
