Here are two scenaria that are NOT beyond the realm of possibility....and anyway, one I'd very much like to see happen and another that is becoming more and more likely as days wear on.

 

Suppose that in early January, President Bush resigns his office, effective immediately.  That would make Dick Cheney President...something that would simply drive the left stark, raving nuts!  Then, suppose that Cheney names Condoleeza Rice his VP.  Then, a few days later, suppose Cheney resigns in her favor.  That would give the Republicans the "honor" of having BOTH the first black President AND the first woman President...again, something that would drive the lefties absolutely NUTS!  It would also give the GOP the 44th AND 45th Presidents of the United States!   It's not only a possibility, it would be a wonderful jab in the eye of the far left, which THINKS it's going to make history in January.

 

While I don't expect it to happen, the prospect is simply delicious. 

 

Now let's look at ANOTHER possible scenario.  People are taking more and more serious, the possibility that Barak Obama is NOT a native-born American, but, as has been rumored for several months now, was actually born of an American citizen, but in a foreign country...Kenya, to be exact.  We know that his father was a native-born Kenyan and, if he WAS born there, by KENYAN law, that would make him a Kenyan citizen.  The story is, that Obama's mother was 9 months pregnant when she decided to fly back to the U.S. but went into labor at the Mombasa airport and the baby was born IN Mombasa, after which she DID fly with her newborn to Honolulu where she registered Barack's birth, but, since he was born outside the U.S., the government would only certify his "live birth" and would NOT issue him a birth certificate as having been born IN Honolulu.  That's the reason the Obama campaign has been both unable and unwilling to produce a certified birth certificate, certifying his birth in Honolulu.  Secondarily, it is believed that Obama's trip to Pakistan some years ago--before he held elective office--was on an INDONESIAN passport, which automatically proves he was not an American citizen, since U.S. citizens cannot legally travel on foreign passports.

 

Let's suppose that all this is proven to be true, which, given the stonewalling of the Obama "handlers" may prove to be very difficult.  But, let's suppose it's all true.  Obama is therefore INELIGIBLE to become the 44th President of the United States since the Constitution is VERY clear on this point.  One of the basic qualifications to BE President is that one be a native-born citizen.  That being the case, we may be swearing in a "President Biden" as the 44th President who would then name Hillary Clinton to be HIS Vice President, after which President Biden could resign, giving the Presidency to Hillary, and we'd have at least 4 more years of a Clinton Presidency with Hillary and Bill again occupying the private residence in the White House.  Not a particularly pleasant prospect, but at least marginally better than what we're facing as of today.
