Where the political leaders are said to be, or seem to be, disproportionately great, the people there are necessarily small and, moreover, oppressed as well.  

Added to this serious matter is what can be called the irrational pathetic fallacy of saying, as the ignorant Russian peasants had so pathetically said about the czar: “If only the czar knew.”   [Hopefully, this matter’s discussion will be of more importance than, for instance, the unneeded landing of India’s first lunar probe as an act of absurd superfluity, while millions of its people simultaneously rot in endless starvation and perpetual poverty.]   People were, thus, supposed to popularly believe that a sort of free benevolence just had to exist somewhere above them, though not only in Heaven.

Of course, no one, meaning the average person, was ever expected to have the (impossible or inconceivable) opportunity to directly speak with the fearless leader to find out what he did or did not know.   It was generally assumed, of course, that he would have supposedly liked or wanted, at least, to find out about (bad) things going on anywhere in the nation.

This means if only, the fallacious assumption goes, he really “knew” what was being done or had been done in his revered name by unworthy, crooked, treacherous, or incompetent subordinates, then, of course, all such conditions would somehow be different, all injustices would be naturally corrected, all wrongs righted, etc.  The cited despot or autocrat would, as the pseudo-political superstition goes, have taken or would want to take some kind of appropriate action or, at least, would have been somehow upset or, perhaps, as it was thought, sufficiently angry.

Of course, in harsh reality, it simply does not matter at all if any particular czar did or did not, in fact, know everything or anything that went on in the country, in the entire Russian Empire actually.  The sad fact of the overall and basic political situation was that the basic autocracy functioned, by definition, autocratically, despotically, in usual terms of expected oppression and injustice stemming from the oppressive conditions; this was, thus, logically from that inherent tendency to willingly suppress civil liberties and/or civil rights, in the Western sense of such things, needed to ever fundamentally insure free government’s existence and continued survival.  

Thankfully, prior to the now asinine investment of political leaders in America with certain assumed or implied messianic abilities, tendencies, or powers, the pathetic fallacy had not greatly taken hold of millions upon millions of Americans; this means in the ugly way it surely will in the very near future with an attempted ideological deification of the Chosen One, of having a “cult of personality” appropriately attached to him.

This then will, shockingly, mark the quite horrid, historical, quasi-political transition, ideological transformation and deformation, of the bulk of the country as having its former free citizens evilly transformed, in effect, into mere equipollent subjects of the Leviathan State, the Welfare-Warfare State.  Freedom will become redefined, in Orwellian terms, to mean basic obedience to the collective will or, perhaps, Rousseau’s General Will.

Since it will be virtually impossible for the mass media, the drive-by media, to actually criticize the Anointed One (AKA Obama, the Great One, His Magnificence, the Lord Most High, etc.) directly, there will be the indirect way of speaking, of Orwellian semantics, that will be greatly invocative and evocative of the irrationality and emotional nonsense of the aforementioned pathetic fallacy: If only Obama knew.  

On a much greater historical and ideological scale of massively terrible misrule and injustice, that of, e.g., Adolf Hitler, the German people were then still permitted to say: If only the Fuhrer knew.  With the Great One, however, all criticism will, either directly or indirectly made, be basely interpreted by the mass media, sooner or later, as being, by definition, racist in its origins, overtones, sentiments, biases, etc.  Criticism would be, by definition, always politically incorrect.

Though as for the real evil to be brought about by Obama, the Exalted One, let it be here so manifestly known that millions more babies and others will, in fact, be killed through more liberalized abortion (since like 19^th century slaves, they are, in this polity, only non-persons without civil liberties or civil rights), infanticide, and euthanasia.    

With the evident and mounting orgiastic rapture being outpoured by almost all of the compliant (Leftist) mass media, it will be extremely hard for someone as the leader of the nation not to finally end up getting a (warped) sense of supposed pretensions to a kind of terrene divinity.   In ancient Rome, to protect against terribly inflated human hyper-egos, it had been the required practice as old custom that the triumphant conquering general had to have a slave in his chariot as he was to ride in the procession wildly greeting his triumph.  Why this practice, one might, intelligently, ask? 

The slave was both required and fully permitted by this ancient custom to shout, from time to time, into the conqueror’s ears, meaning above the loud noise of the enthusiastically cheering crowds, that he must: “Remember that thou art only a man.”   (One can, in fact, see a good example of this actually shown in the movie titled: Quo Vadis starring Robert Taylor.) 

The monumental problem, however, regarding His Magnificence is clearly that, of course, no one would ever come to dare to remind him of such a requisite custom, due to the obvious accusations of racism implied; this is quite manifestly concerning its connection with what historically, in the American South at least, had been once euphemistically termed the Peculiar Institution.    

Further than this, however, the legacy of slavery is easily predicted to be the underlying but (largely) unspoken public theme throughout his race-obsessed presidency, though few will truly dare say that the emperor has no clothes, as with the famous Hans Christian Anderson story; what this viciously means is, therefore, that almost no one would be around him to tell him the (whole) truth in black and white terms.  

The Great One’s inflated ego is, thus, to be soothingly pumped up by hordes and cadres of swooning sycophantic swine eager to get often expected favors and, of course, to gain position and place in his (to-be-expected)corrupt administration. 

When tremendous domestic and foreign policy disasters come time and again, therefore, it will be heard in the benighted land, again and again, the absurd refrain as fully guided by the pathetic fallacy: If only the Lord Most High knew.   In cold point of fact, however, when all is ultimately said and done to plead to the contrary, the czar, Il Duce, the Fuhrer, and Obama had/will fundamentally and certainly know and, much more importantly, won’t really care.  

This will be during the reduction of the former subjects into a class of (in effect) economic-political slaves of the social market economy as run by the Fabian Socialist State, essentially what Belloc had referred to as the Servile State; what will realistically occur is, as always, not the genuine effort, as ideologically alleged, to eliminate poverty but to just institutionalize poverty by sustaining the now permanent underclass dependent upon the social market economy; this had been, long ago, correctly predicted by the thinking behind the Austrian School of Economics.

And, this is ever the true way of actualized and effective power for all Machiavellian-inspired politicians.  Why?  Because the Magnificent One is, basically, just a politician, not a pretended divinity settled on earth.   So, as to the many expected and predictable horrors to be perpetrated willingly during the next administration, Obama, without any rational doubt, will uncaringly know to the nth degree of moral indifference in logical accord with his radical (read: mainly Marxist) ideological position qua persuasion.

But, the severe devastation wrought by him, upon this country, will have absolutely nothing of true substance to do with the man’s race, as, e.g., Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Walter E. Williams, Ambassador Alan Keyes, and other such African-Americans would fully agree, rather, his idiotic Leftist ideology can functionally account, in its fundamentals, for almost all of the terribly wrong things that will assuredly be done, though, one assumes (?), with “the best of intentions.”   

The primary, dubious “achievement” of Obama, called by many a charismatic demagogue, will be the extreme intensification of the nation’s existing culture war, inclusive of increased racial tensions, that must lead to actual violence, not just a war of words and print or other media.  Failure at home, moreover, will make it difficult to handle hard questions pertaining to NATO, various other strategic alliances, attitude toward Russia, position toward Israel, influence at the United Nations, etc. concerning international issues and crises that would occur over time; the American people meanwhile may, however, become just rather simply mesmerized by blatant Obamanomics or, perhaps, a general Obamamania.

Such will be done mainly through the enslavement of millions of minds brutally committed to nihilistic beliefs that must, both directly and indirectly, lead invariably toward the celebration of the Culture of Death; this is as the country sinks into a Weimar Republic-style degeneracy and decadence; thus, in various ways, “slavery” will characteristically come to dominate a people whose passions, as Edmund Burke had philosophically and shrewdly said, would necessarily come to forge their own fetters. 

On the other hand, perhaps, solutions to a wide range of problems will surely be found for everything from the mythic problem of anthropogenic global warming to, of course, a cure for the common cold.

In any event, Obama’s projected National Security Force (NSF) that, hopefully, will not become an American version of the brutal and sinister KGB or Gestapo, may tend to make the bulk of the population believe in the existence of a terrestrial Utopia, of the New Camelot – or else, face the dark consequences of dealing with the NSF.  [But, if a Camelot comes, then there must surely be a Mordred (Lee Harvey Oswald) too waiting probably, supposedly, somewhere in Dallas for you know who.] 

There are, after all, many different ways to become enslaved, including self-enslavement through supposedly salvific ideological beliefs in service to the social market economy heralded, of course, by its major 20^th century prophet, John Maynard Keynes, many decades ago.

Robert J. Samuelson, author of The Great Inflation and Its Aftermath: The Past and Future of American Affluence, is publicly known for advocating that Keynesianism was never meant to be taken to extremes and that helped to cause its failure.  The direct opposite is the truth, contrary to much pseudo-economic mythology that, unfortunately, protects and surrounds this school of absurd thought.  Keynesianism (Fabian Socialism) was, in the 1930s and ever after, definitely meant to be pushed ideologically to extremes since it was known that it was destined to fail. 

Keynes himself, upon once being questioned as to means and ends, had blithely remarked that in the end it’s just the case that we will all be dead anyway, thus, linking his overt nihilism to his economics.  He also famously or, rather, infamously said that paying men to dig up ditches one day and then paying them the next day to just fill them up would still add to what used to be called the Gross National Product.  Need one say more?

And, of course, Samuelson, with his widely reputed great intellect, and many others always take such obviously crackpot thinking seriously; one is, moreover, almost tempted to say reverently.  It will seem, therefore, to be a kind of reverence with which the Great One will be greeted in terms of his many grandiose pronouncements and didactic edicts; these will be so creatively designed to help better structure his own towering, mythic status among the so awed and enraptured intelligencia and academics of the Western world and elsewhere.  So, biofuels, wind, solar, hydrothermal, etc. and other such efforts at generating nontraditional energy will be tried toward economically creating efforts for having the New World Order’s (utopian) realization.

Who knows?  Perhaps, observers will be greeted, with the nostalgic expressions by Liberal and Leftist intellectuals, of there being, as in the 1960s and 1970s, a “Marxism with a Human Face,” though none of the same thinkers, then or now, would ever have dared to speak of a Nazism or Fascism with a human face. 

One wonders, in fact, if the assumed face in question will look, in fact, much like Obama’s?   Or, is this the best way to truly impress Third World nations?  But, the degenerate cognoscenti and literati will, nonetheless, still want to have their own perverse say.

They will loyally proclaim, in seeming unison, that the New Camelot has come at last to, thus, create an expected new Heaven and new Earth for the (deluded) masses.  It will be sociologically interesting to observe how many, among others, of the effete neoconservatives (Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, etc.) and their ilk who will, as Sir James Fitzjames Stephens had put it so well, just shout Hallelujah! and go in with the river gods.  Of course, there will be those who disagree adamantly.

Now, as always, one must fight for the right to be free.
