Mar. 28, 2008 The candidates are imploding on the Democrat's side of things. What's most delicious about this is that they're doing it to themselves (and to each other.) Hillary's blatant lie about being under fire in Bosnia is just the first of a relatively long list of lies she's told about herself--apparently in an effort to make her "service" as First Lady seem much more relevant that it really was. But that's not the first at all. Remember back in 1992 when she claimed to have been named for Sir Edmond Hillary? That, too, was shown to be an out-and-out lie. She was born (and named) years before then just plain ol' Edmond Hillary and his Sherpa guide reached the summit of Mt. Everest. Until then, he was completely unknown and only became SIR Edmond Hillary when he was later knighted by Elizabeth II for being the first documented human to make that epic climb. Later, she claimed not to have known the whereabouts of her subpoenaed Rose Law Firm billing records. Lo and behold, the showed up in the White House private residence...apparently appearing by magic. This issue about telling admirers that she and Chelsea had had to scramble under sniper fire when they landed in Bosnia was just the latest in a long list of such lies. Didn't the woman know that the arrival had been filmed by news crews? Or did she just believe that those who'd filmed it and accompanied her would just remain silent and protect her lie--as the news media had done so often before? More likely, she probably thought that no one would even remember it. Unfortunately for her, the MSM seems to have switched its allegiances to Barrak Obama and, in the midst of the current primary fight, another convenient cover-up by the formerly-reliable sycophants just wasn't in the cards. Then we have Barrak Obama, caught in the crossfires surrounding his friend and pastor for 20 years and his racist, vile accusations from the pulpit. At first Obama denied that he'd ever heard any of the stuff that this "minister" is on record as preaching to his flock. Then, as more and more idiocy eminated from this man's pie-hole, he was forced to admit that he HAD heard this stuff and either ignored it or, more likely, simply internalized it. Black Liberation Theology was invented by Marxists back in the 60's as a means of separating ethnic minorities from the traditional Christian church. The KGB, and its surrogates, realized that destroying the church itself was not likely since blacks in America and, more importantly, Central and South American catholics,weren't likely to abandon the faiths that had sustained them for years, so the BLT was invented to place a wedge of racism between blacks and whites. We've all read excerpts of this stuff recently so I won't attempt to go into it here, but suffice it to say, it's premised on white responsibility for ALL the evils in the world and especially the relative lack of progress blacks had made socially in the West. It also preaches government-mandated redistribution of wealth as something that's "owed" to ethnic minorities by the white majority. We've long seen this entitlement culture flourishing in the black community and now we know somewhat about from where it comes. Obama's claims that he had not heard his preacher spew this nonsense are simply not credible--not after knowing that he'd sat his butt (and his family) in the pew for over 20 years in front of "The Reverend Mr. Wright." He STILL hasn't really repudiated Mr. Wright and has yet to explain why he remained in a church that so openly preaches racism and Marxiism for over 20 years, supporting it by both his presence and with his money...some $26K in one recent year. Obama claims he's a "uniter" and willing to "reach across the aisle" to get legislation passed that will be "of benefit to all Americans." If so, one wonders why, during his career in the Illinois legislature and in the U.S. Senate he never once attempted to do so? His Senate career, as short as it has been, is singularly undistinguished. Not a single, significant piece of legislation contains his signature and he has the dubious distinction of having THE most liberal voting record in the entire Senate over the last 4 years--worse even than Hillary or even Teddy Kennedy. The truth is, Democrats simply CANNOT get elected if they ever tell the truth about who they are and what they really believe or what they want for America. The American people just won't buy into it. The only reason Democrats became the majority in 2006 in both the House and Senate is that they ran several candidates in vulnerable districts as "conservatives," one or two even honestly so. The point is, they HAVE to lie or they simply don't stand a chance of being elected. Both Hillary and Obama have done everything in their power to hide their true political philosophies (which aren't terribly far apart, by the way) from American voters. Hillary isn't NEARLY as good at it as her husband was and is, and, while considerably more articulate and able to obfuscate his politics, Obama isn't one whit better. For true conservatives, this is delightful. Sooner than later, Americans are going to see that these elitists don't really care a putrid fig about you and I. For them, it's all about power and prestige for themselves and increasing their control over "the masses" so they can usher in another "Utopia" just as they did in Russia during the last century. ------------ About the author: David A.
