Mar. 13, 2008 I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. And one of my articles, when she was doing poorly a couple of months ago, suggested that she could be a decoy candidate. Well, I was wrong about that. Now with the whining and negative campaigning I am ashamed of supporting Hillary. I keep asking myself, who looks and acts like a president? I did the comparison with McCain first. He does not look like a president nor do I want someone with clear symptoms of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) to be president. He is paranoid and trigger happy, from what I have heard. Then, I put the test to Barrack Obama. He is calm and speaks his ideas with clear enthusiasm. He claims that he would be right because he has been. He is tall and presidential sounding. Hillary Clinton has been under a fine tooth microscope. And I decided to compare her to a past respected world leader, Margaret Thatcher. Prime Minister Thatcher held office during the Regan years. She had to make critical decisions, some were not liked. She was firm and spoke well. So what would Thatcher do? She would not be crying and claiming she was a woman and was treated unfairly every time someone asked a question. Margaret Thatcher would not claim that as a woman there was a different standard. She stood up to the bullies in her party and every time she was knocked down politically she stood up, she did not run to the Queen to say she can't run the Parliament. I will still support Hillary Clinton for President. But she needs to start acting like a president before she becomes one. I am ashamed of her. ------------ About the author Amanda Baker: I am a published blogger and author. See my blog Amanda's Scribble. I have also started creating a new website Writ-Chaos.
