My MLK, JFK, OBAMA Speech

By Stephen "Lonewolf" Makama
June 11, 2008

"In framing a system which we wish to last for ages , we should not not lose sight of the change which ages will produce." James Madison

There will absolutely be no equivocating on this matter, the will of the people is clear: Barak Obama must become president of the United States of America come January 2009.

No moment in the history of America since the signing of the declaration of independence maybe as phenomenal as this, and if by any cruel twist of fate Obama fails to win the Democratic ticket , if Obama fails to win against McCain then America for all its sermonizing on the dividends of democracy will spend the next decade explaining not to the American voters but the rest of the world why the most truest of self expression underwent a slight readjustment- that of fear , an intrinsic creeping fear of the only thing which remains a constancy in this world / society of high energy flux- CHANGE.

If Obama fails to win it will be more than evident it is America who is really afraid of this thing called democracy, this voice of the people and it will be evident that what was not not evident is the silent hand(s)guiding or prodding the voters all these yeras. We can make change or change can make us change (our ways ).

It is inevitable like the sound of the high speed train. The question is will we be on the tracks blinded by the light of change or on the platform prepared to board ?

Sadly some (want to )believe that change is meant for some and others and not themselves . There are said to be kingmakers in every society and for wont of a better diversion of words America is no stranger, not the least but would they who are involved in the coronation be fully aware of the implications and ramifications? Or would it just be that they too have been caught up by change and about to be steamrolled over by the inevitability of change.

America then would again find herself in the blinding spotlight of world opinion and jury and this one would not be as easy to deflect as the current scandals be they of Republican origination or making.

It has been a historical fact that in the past people of color - African American were denied their right to vote but in a full vicious cycle it's the 'majority ' today who have to make the choice of an African American still gleaming with the umbilical cord of the 'mother continent''.

The wind of change is blowing everywhere , in some places gently and soothingly whilst elsewhere violently , but it is change nonetheless. At the tide of time and at the brink of historical momentous change it is not so much what you can do for Obama(cast your vote) rather what Obama can do for for you.
