Timmerman “Iran Behind Beirut Takeover, Eyes Israel”, Wednesday, May 14, 2008: “Iran ordered its Revolutionary Guards garrison in the Bekaa Valley to move military hardware from that region into Beirut…sources in Tehran said. “…at least 58 Guards officers were directing combat operations in Beirut , side-by-side with their Hezbollah allies.” “Hezbollah declared war on the U.S.-backed government of Prime Minister Fuad Seniora …after the government fired the pro-Hezbollah security chief at Beirut International Airport for installing security cameras to monitor the movement of anti-Syrian and anti-Iranian politicians and others on Hezbollah’s behalf.” “More than a dozen top politicians, including former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, have been assassinated in Lebanon over the past three years, reportedly by terrorist networks working on behalf of Hezbollah backers, Syria , and Iran .” The facts and sources are sure. Syria and Iran are heavily backing Hezbollah in their activities in Lebanon . With a secure base in Lebanon , Hezbollah can join their Palestinian counterpart, Hamas, in conducting terrorist operations against Israel . One certain politician has commented he would like to discuss the world situation on terrorism without any particular “preconditions”. It doesn’t seem to matter how depraved the particular national leader might be. It seems that diplomacy is the one true way to solve all the world’s woes. It doesn’t seem to matter that the North Koreans used diplomacy as a smokescreen to build a nuclear weapons program or that the Iranians are following the North Korean playbook by wrote. It doesn’t seem to matter that Syria might already have a workable nuclear weapons program had not the Israelis bombed the stuffing out of the North Korean nuclear technology dotting their landscape. I believe there is not one democrat who acknowledges the threat to national security by a nuclear armed Syria , Iran or North Korea . The calls are for talks and discussions when none of these three nations have shown the least proclivity toward peace. They deal in the export of terror. Their weapons and their assassination squads permeate the Middle East . There are no outcries from the Arab nations for the terrorists to end their operations and there is no collective condemnation of the know support being rendered by Iran or Syria . Iran ’s idiotic president, Amahdinejad has made it clear that Israel is not safe. It is Iran ’s desire to see the total destruction of the Jewish state and its American ally. There are no particular calls from any American politician for the absolute destruction of Iran , Syria or their militant terrorist groups. The governments of Iran and Syria are being led by nothing more than brainless animals and yet American politicians press for talking to the animals as if they could respond with any coherence. It will be interesting to see just how long any democrat president will wait before inviting Amahdinejad to the White House. I believe the record for terrorist attendance in the Lincoln Bedroom is 21 stays for Yasser Arafat.
