July 10, 2008 There's a line in C.S.Lewis' "The Last Battle" that says, "By mixing a little truth with it they had made their lie far stronger." It refers to the enemies of Aslan revealing the objective truth of a deception, without giving the operative truth that it was their deception all along. It's called standing truth on its head. Have you noticed how the Secular/Socialists now don't mind the mixing of Church and State in the mouth of Sen. Obama? There must be a good reason for this, and I don't think it's because the Statists now believe Jesus Saves. They just think that Sen. Obama, like themselves, really believes the State Saves. Shaun Casey, of Wesley Theological Seminary, admits that Obama proclaims the Social Gospel, which equates the feeding of the hungry and the clothing of the naked with doing the Lord's work. Aside from it not being 'the Lord's work', but the work of His Followers, how can Obama get away with putting this 'Lord's work' on people who do not believe Jesus is Lord? The truth, stood on its feet, is that he doesn't plan to get away with it; he plans to meld and morph it! As in "The Last Battle" where Tash and Aslan were morphed into One, Sen. Obama and his followers plan to meld the State and the Lord into One. The language will ring familiar, the phrases church-like and the tropes high-and-mighty. What Sen. Obama means to say, however, rings clear to the Secular/Socialists, so it causes them no fear. Nevertheless, because Obama's 'christian' language is so authentic, many Followers of Jesus may vote for him in November. The Follower of Christ should be warned by two things;one said long ago and one not said. The thing said long ago is Paul's warning to young Timothy that he should avoid men who have a form (morphe) of godliness. The thing not said is when Obama waxes 'christian' he very rarely employs the name "Jesus". You see, in the Social Gospel efforts and among the Statists who use these efforts as vehicles, "Jesus" must be left at the door. To say things like 'awesome God', 'His will', His works' and 'God's spirit' are fine to say...for now. Those who believe the State (in their image) Saves have time to meld those phrases into their agenda, but "Jesus" must be left at the door. After all, one wouldn't want to offend anyone. Sen. Obama evinced this plan to meld and morph the State and the Lord into One back in 2006 when he spoke of a gang-banger's moral problem as a "hole in that young man's heart; a hole that the government alone cannot fix." (Italics mine) The unmixed truth, Senator Obama, is that only "Jesus" can fix the moral hole in that man's heart..."Jesus" alone. That "Jesus" whom the Evangelicals must leave at the door if they want to be involved with Obama's friends and their government programs. After all, 'Evangel' refers to the Good News, which is not that the State Saves, but that Jesus Saves. Once more, evincing his need to morph, Obama, in describing his conversion with the help of Rev. Wright, said "he (Wright) lead me to my faith." All people have 'faith' of one sort or another; faith in the State, for instance. Rev. Wright should have lead Obama to Jesus, then he wouldn't think it acceptable to let a baby, who cheated an abortionist's efforts, lie on the table until dead. Like all Statists, Senator Obama cannot be concerned with the individuals, many of whom are, incidentally, fed and clothe by Followers of Jesus. His is a lofty and lonely road of caring for the groups, so if an individual or two has to be done away with for the sake of the group, then so-be-it.
