First of all, let's all try to remember that "The Chicago Way" may be THE most corrupt political system in the country, even though it gets some pretty stiff competition from Washington DC, Washington State, Detroit, Gary, Indiana, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Miami, New Orleans and, apparently, Minneapolis, if the recent senatorial debacle is any indication.

 

Chicago is famous mostly for three things.  (1) Al Capone  (2) The Daly political "machine," which has given several Democrats...not the least of whom was President Kennedy himself...questionable election "victories" by miraculously finding a previously-untapped source of votes in Chicago area cemeteries.  And (3) for being the political "breeding ground" of the current President-elect.  Secondarily, Chicago is well-known for producing corrupt politicians such as the current Illinois governor and such notorious figures as the disgraced Congressman Dan Rostenkowski, who virtually furnished his house with furniture ripped off from taxpayers.  Chicago is also known as a city where a whistle-blower is more than likely to mysteriously disappear, only to be later found to be an integral part of a bridge's or overpass' foundation, or inside the cornerstone of a new downtown building. 

 

"The Chicago Way" is the cauldron in which Barack Hussein Obama was cooked up and trained in the ways of political chicanery, vote manufacture and opponent neutralization.  Those of us who opposed his election have known this since his rise to prominence in 2006 and even the Democrat Party has known it for some time, too.  After all, MOST of the "attacks" on him were made by the Clinton campaign initially.  It was she who forced the mainstream media to tie him to his anti-American, racist, anti-Semitic preacher and "friend-for-20-years," Jeremiah Wright and the unrepentant domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers and his terrorist wife, Bernadine Dourne.

 

Many of us remember how the Chicago machine was largely responsible for putting JFK "over the top" in the 1960 presidential election.  Only later was it discovered that a substantial number of Kennedy registered "voters" were permanent residents of Chicago-area graveyards.  One Republican wag joked, "I don't so much resent the Daly Democrats registering and voting so many dead people.  What I DO resent is that many of those "votes" were in the names of dead REPUBLICANS." 

 

Apparently, even Republicans were willing to look on this corruption as if it were merely an aberration and a joke.  Never mind that the practice violates the law and the spirit of the concept of "one man, one vote," that even Democrats seem to find so valuable that they're willing to challenge any effort to weed out illegal or ineligible voters.  Another Chicago construct, A.C.O.R.N., has apparently taken up the mantle and expanded the practice nation wide.  The group has been registering Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and "I.M. Goode" in several States and localities and has been "investigated" by prosecutors in 15 to 20 separate cities for registration and voter fraud.  This is the same organization for whom Barack Obama used to work and "train" other "workers," in the techniques proposed by the unapologetic communist, Saul Alinsky.  It was, in fact, his "baptism" into Chicago politics.

 

Barack Obama appears to be a gifted speaker--at least as long as he has a script.  His "breeding ground" was, and remains, Chicago machine politics which are well-known to be openly corrupt.  In fact, many Chicago political figures REVEL in that reputation.  I have a sneaking suspicion that our "President-Elect" is merely a figurehead and that the real power behind the throne, so to speak, is some shadowy Chicago-area political "boss."  Obama does not appear to be the person in charge of his own campaign and certainly not the person choosing his future cabinet members.  The Blogojevich scandal may not touch him, though I find that pretty hard to swallow.  Obama's new Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel, is known to have had contacts with Blogojevich discussing the situation that now has the governor in so much trouble.  You may remember this "bi-partisan" guy as the Congressman, in a gesture of extraordinary "compromise" who said on the floor of the House of his political opponents, "F**k the Republicans!" 

 

THAT is the real "Chicago Way," and it's a "way" that has become [i]au rigeur[/i] in today's toxic atmosphere in domestic politics.  Democrats, in particular, are adept at this--in large measure because they've learned that the Republican Party is, in general, just too polite to effectively fight back.  To Chicago Way Democrats, "compromise" means that Republicans move in THEIR direction with no requirement for any movement on their part.  In a true compromise, the far left and the far right would move towards the center, but the GOP has become so center-oriented, that THEIR starting position is centrist and movement towards the Democrat position simply moves them into the leftist's half of the equation.  That's proven to be the recipe for disaster for the GOP as has been proven by the last two elections.

 

We're facing the highest any Chicago Machine politician has ever risen come January 20th.  Let's hope that he gets the spine to stand up to this criminal enterprise and govern the United States as it should be.  That's MY hope, at least, but it's a pretty faint hope, at best.
