Dec. 17, 2008 What makes anyone believe Caroline Kennedy needs political experience to take over Hillary Clinton’s vacated Senate Seat? Heck! She’s a Kennedy! She’s da’woman! She’s got the blood of kings coursing through her veins. What other qualification does she possibly need in the light of Barack Obama’s 143 days of inexperienced Senate attendance? For that matter think of Hillary Clinton taking over as Secretary of State! We certainly couldn’t ask for less experience there! Cut poor Caroline a break! I know, I know. You all saw what they did to poor Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Even though she had more executive experience than McCain, Obama and Biden combined, she was the one most attacked for her “inexperience”. All of that seemed rather unfair, but with Caroline Kennedy taking Hillary’s seat, perhaps Tina Fey can reprise her idiocy pretending to be an inexperienced New York Senator named Caroline? The Senate needs this Kennedy! She’s probably not an alcoholic! I’m certain she hasn’t driven any cars off any bridges or smashed into blast barriers in front of Congressional chambers. Finally! The possibility of a sober and righteous Kennedy walking the halls of Congress would surely be the icing on the media’s “Camelot” cake! And get this! She’s a Democrat! America has just got to maintain that socialist majority so Mr. Obama can take America into the historical regions of successful redistribution-ism. Of course there is no such successful historical model for the redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor, but isn’t that what “hope” and “change” is all about? Who needs experienced senators and congresspersons anyway? Look what all that experience has gotten us? We have higher unemployment, greater national debt, a destroyed education system, Wall Street in ruin through government mandated lending practices and a president-elect who may or may not be an American citizen! We can thank the Democrats for all of that since they’ve been touting their majorities in the House and Senate since 2006! It’s time to get those inexperienced democrats in there to screw things up even more royally! You go Caroline! You go girl! I mean did I really read yesterday that the new First Lady should be drawing a paycheck? Seems Michelle Obama is taking quite a hit to her purse by just being the nation’s First Lady! Someone opined she should be entitled to a paycheck for having to leave her job. Hey! Isn’t that the same deal the UAW got from the Big Three? Union guys could sit on their butts collecting 95% of their salary until a position became available? Yeah! That’s the ticket! We can make that deal with Michelle! And we can extend that deal to Caroline Kennedy if Cuomo or some other relative manages to grab Hillary’s seat. But we all have to understand that Caroline Kennedy don’t need no freaking experience.
