Barack Obama: Racist

By Joseph Andrew Settanni
Apr. 15, 2008

A vast number and wide variety of varied commentators and various opinion makers seem intent upon dancing around the critical issue as to whether or not Barack Obama, the possible Democratic Party nominee, is, in fact, a genuine racist.

An enormous and growing number of excuses, qualifications, clarifications, explanations, extrapolations, etc. appear attendant upon trying to come up with a proper assessment that would genuinely fulfill the need to try to form an informed opinion – and proper estimate of the man himself. It is, of course, very PC (politically correct) to want to believe the best about him.

He says things that he feels (as can be widely observed) the need to often clarify, modify, or somewhat retract depending upon the nature of his statements that are made upon circumstances related to meetings, etc.; and, those who would hear his voice, among his supporters, say that it carries the putative words of wisdom, one assumes. Thus, it is not PC to speak the truth about him.

A different standard, some would say the well-known Liberal-Leftist double standard, is said to be needed for forming a proper judgment of him and his words. But, someone who was originally offered as a spectacular means of achieving Americanized racial unity has come, increasingly, to badly represent increasing degrees of racial division.

Barack, with his apparent racial notions, seems to say that if one scratches the surface of a typical White person, a racist will be found, as with, e.g., his own White grandmother that he has freely talked about during his campaign as to her racial attitudes.

There may be those who say, however, that behind the public mask is still a compassionate man of good will merely wrongly slandered by miscreant fools, etc. And yet... and yet, speculation may have it that there is a weird mask behind that so charming, charismatic, political man that conceals something pretty ugly, in the visual manner of a proverbial portrait of Dorian Gray.

Is he, in this case, the Dorian Gray candidate of 2008? But, wasn’t he the assumed “redeemer” of White America who would cure its sins by offering hope and change for the better?

How could such a person, such an African-American man, be so very unfortunately or improperly misunderstood or misinterpreted in so short a period of time, relatively speaking? This is the time especially since his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, had been seemingly revealed as someone who said, one assumes, many wrong things, many racist remarks, that Obama later repudiated, one assumes.

Of course, people are to simply believe that this Illinois US Senator freely and willingly attended this minister’s church, which has fostered a radicalized, racialized view of a hateful White America still most evilly persecuting the African-American population, either directly or indirectly; and yet, Obama himself miraculously, after 20 years of hearing this very vile and terrible stuff, had and has remained totally, absolutely unaffected by its rather blatant and obvious racist orientation.

There is a weel-known bridge in Brooklyn for sale to all the true believers in this supposed redeemer who will make all things new again, for a new creation, a new heaven and a new earth.

And so, there is presented the spectacle of something like the Hans Christian Andersen story of the Emperor’s New Clothes. People are afraid to speak the truth about Obama since they do not wish to be denounced as racists. But, one can still objectively and reasonably examine his comments and his attempts to supposedly self-adjudicate his own words constantly. Duplicity must still fail at some point.

To wit, does he say what he means only when he means what he says that he has said? And, just how many disparate (and unconvincing) convolutions and tergiversations of speech will be thought fully or endlessly necessary to (forever) help conceal his discovered racism?

As but one small example among the multiplying many as evidence of (his) observed bitterness, he has criticized people living in small-town, working-class America (dare one say it? – the God & Guns crowd of fearful, ignorant [worthless?] rednecks – you have to be classified, after all, as a White person to be able to qualify for getting one’s neck to look red) versus seeming to have a great or higher regard for, in contrast, (the assumed normal) people living in the big cities in these United States. Who tends to live in these small towns in this country?

Well, generally speaking, there is the fairly logical implication as an indication, of a sort, that mainly White people do. Who mostly would tend to congregate, especially now, in the nation’s big cities? Generally speaking, it is mainly non-White people or communities, inclusive of non-White immigrants, both legal and illegal in origin.

It does not really take much (political?) imagination, therefore, to be able to fairly read between the sorry lines of such (obviously racist) thought on the part of Obama, a hero of the American Left.

When all is said and done, however, though few will now say openly what many are crescively thinking much more loudly in their minds, this particular fellow who had offered himself as a supposed means of largely transcending race in America has become the racial candidate supreme; he is, of course, admittedly much more sophisticated than, e.g., such other well known African-American racists as the Rev. Jesse Jackson; but, Obama, nonetheless, properly qualifies – at the risk of not be PC – as a racist without a (rational) doubt.
