Apr. 2, 2008 I guess most Sesame Street features for New Millennium will be substituting the famous diving aircraft engine sound with catch "Is it a bird ? Is it a plane...? It's , it's BARAK OBAMA!!!! Only this flying phenomenon will not not be crash landing but landing where other hombres or more precisely- zooks !(I wont use the word) never dared. I was listening in on BBC shortwave to a piece on how the phenomena called Barak Obama for the first time in his campaign decided to tackle the 'monster" ( no not Hilary?)but the live one which lives in 'absractcism' in the heart and minds of hundreds maybe thousands maybe less, Americans who have always believed that blacks were only bred for creation of immense copious amounts of muscle tiring acid shooting hoop , chasing the wind or well less mentionable pursuits( in the hood) but now are facing up to reality that the next Commander-in-Chief might actually include the phrase "Yo Americans wassup!!in his annual state of the union address... It's a reality dawning faster than most of us would like acknowledge but as saying goes the only thing constant is change itself and oh how rapidly she 'thar blows!' There has been nothing like this for almost all history itself, and Barak's response to a nasty quip by a former mentor again must have knocked off the watchers who must have believed the incidence would sink the guy - and for the fun it gave the 'chins' something salacious for the late night routines to remain tops for another full installment- McCain gaffs just Bush too! The man Obama is being compared to Martin Luther king, John F. Kennedy - and hopefully we hope that is where the comparison stops , if you get my meaning - we do not wait the exit via the 'Valhalla' route on the Zapruder for this brother. Will the Latinos vote for him - a group who just not too long ago were touted as the next significant demographic to be reckoned with in the US never fathomed that the blacks had a secret 'weapon'. Whatever happens this man , this man Barak obama ( who must certainly eat literally micrwaved Websters- pocket editions for breakfast) will be remembered for posterity..
