Sept. 21, 2007 Amazing, isn't it, how many diverse sorts read articles posted here? I've been corresponding via e-mail with some guy (or girl) who took exception to both of my recent articles posted on this site. First of all, he/she decided that one couldn't possibly engage in occasional homosex and still criticize any part (or all) of the homosexual activists' agenda without being hypocritical. He/She insisted that IF one was a closet homosexual and opposed gay marriage then one MUST be a hypocrite. Apparently, one is a hypocrite to some lefties if one is gay and doesn't agree with every, single left-wing-inspired "gay issue." Apparently, no one has ever told this (Oh heck! I'll just call him/her "him" for convenience's sake) guy about the Log Cabin Republicans--a fairly large group of gays who are also conservative; who don't agree with "gay marriage;" who oppose having casual sex in public places and agree it should be criminalized; who understand that unprotected, casual sex with strangers almost guarantees a terminal case of AIDS; who don't think homosexuality is akin to race, religion or ethnicity and therefore deserving of becoming a "government-protected" class; who don't think so-called "hate-crimes" deserve special punishment because that's too close to organizing a "thought-police." This guy accused me of lying when I posted the FACT that Saddam ordered his remaining few MIG fighters into Iran to keep them from being destroyed. At the time, we were destroying 'em inside his hardened hangars. I remember very clearly watching the films of those bunker-buster bombs first penetrating the concrete barriers and then exploding, destroying the aircraft INSIDE these concrete bunkers. He had a few left undamaged and had them fly into Iran, knowing that coalition forces wouldn't follow them. In 2003 we found 3 of 'em BURIED in the desert. The only way we found them was when a sandstorm uncovered their vertical stabilizers. But, this guy is so ignorant of history that he assumed I must have lied when I speculated that Saddam MAY have sent his WMD's into Syria aboard that mysterious truck convoy spotted by satellite fleeing across the border a few days prior to the resumption of the war. He equated sending these things across the border for protection as "giving" them to neighboring regimes, which he claims Saddam would NEVER do since he'd just been at war with Iran for almost a decade. The point of all this is that this guy is typical of today's Democrat voter....uninformed yet opinionated. The sad part of all this is that this guy will probably vote and have a hand in determining who wins the 2008 elections. Given their past history, he may even vote often. This is no time for good conservatives to stay home or vote for some third-party nobody and literally hand the election to someone like Senator Clinton. A worse fate for our country would be hard to imagine. Oh, we'll probably go on, but after 4 years of HER in the White House again, probably not as the same country we've all come to love and respect. If you want to prevent the virtual destruction of a free America, please get out and vote and at least negate this bugwit's vote...where ever he may be. ------------ About the author: David A.
