The Clintons : I Am "Shocked" That They Pretend To Be "Shocked"

By Michael John McCrae
Sept. 7, 2007

From the “newsday.com” website came this gem of a report: “Bill Clinton 'shocked' Hillary donor was a fugitive”, by Glenn Thrush, September 2, 2007, which began: “ Former President Bill Clinton said he was "shocked" by revelations that a top fundraiser for his wife is a fugitive from justice and claimed he didn't even know what "HillRaiser" Norman Hsu did for a living.”

And as you can see, “Slick Willie” hasn’t forgotten how to stare a person in the face and direct bald-faced lies in the direction of his listener.

The report continued: “You could have knocked me over with a straw, especially when I heard the L.A. people had been allegedly looking for him for 15 years when he was in plain view,” he told Newsday while touring a county fair in rural New Hampshire …” "I never knew how he made a living or anything, but I was shocked," said Clinton of Hsu, who has made millions as an investor in textile and other businesses.”

But as “shocked” as the former “rapist in chief” might have pretended to be he wasn’t so chagrined as to expect his wife to return all the cash garnered from Hsu and his associates. Although the report mentions a wash of hands against some of the money, the Clintons don’t expect to return all of the more than one million Norman Hsu donated to Hillary’s various political adventures.

From the site: “Democratic presidential candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton donated $23,000 in Hsu contributions after his criminal history was revealed by the Los Angeles Times last week {and yet}Clinton said it wasn't necessary to return $100,000 or more collected by Hsu from other donors.” {Leaving off a zero or two from the actual figure.}

Quote: “I think she did the right thing giving the money back pending resolution of his case," Clinton added. "If the other people say they gave the money of their own accord then I think she should keep it.”

Now it is true that Norman Hsu turned himself in days after the revelation that he was a fugitive. It is also true that he has since skipped bail and is now again in hiding. No doubt there were more Clinton-support funds that needed to be collected. Being in jail would have slowed down the amount of campaign contributions from the Clinton ’s more communist supporters. We should all stay tuned to the continuing saga of Norman Hsu and the Hillary connection.

The Newsday article was followed by reader reactions. If the reactions recorded by the site are any indication of the voting public I might recommend Hillary consider giving her “war chest” to Barak Obama. Here are a few interesting reactions to the “shocked” Clinton ’s comments (edited somewhat for spelling errors and vulgarity):

From “statement”: “So slick Willie was "shocked" about this Hsu character! I believe him as much as him saying he did not have ex with that woman Monica Lewinski. This b…tard is still a liar just like the Hildabeast.”

From “Hey Hillary, have a cigar” : “bet not half as shocked as when his spew was all over the interns' un-cleaned dress, who is just a few years older than his daughter. Take Pride, Rodham”

From “This Coming”: “This coming from a Man who didn't inhale. A bigger liar then Bush maybe. Hillary is a person with no conscience. If I found out my husband was with another Women he would be history. Only in it for the money. Imagine what kind of powerful scum is backing her!”

From “LHZ”: “Bill, Convicted Felon Mr. Hsu funneled over ONE MILLION DOLLARS to Hillary and friends – not 100K. It ALL needs to be returned. An in-depth investigation needs to be conducted. What did this guy do for a living? Where did he get the money he donated? etc etc. Appoint a special prosecutor.”

From “dixienormous”: “Yeah, and Hillary was 'shocked' that her Rose Law Firm phone records, which had been under Federal subpoena for years, were found on her desk in her White House bedroom.”

There were more than 100 such scathing posts concerning the believability of the Clintons. I was “shocked” when I thought better of posting my own comment. The comments I read through said all that needed to be said and boiled down to: “You cannot trust either of the Clintons to simply be honest in their public dealings.”
