Oct. 22, 2007 For a minute picture a person too lazy to flush the toilet. A person so poorly brought up as to use the toilet and not flush. After thinking about it, I realize there must be many people so slovenly that they don't flush. This explains the tiny red light that senses the absence of a person and flushes automatically! How much electrical energy does it take to do that as compared to pulling or stepping on the handle? Well, anyway it ticks me off. No wonder people eat prepared foods; too lazy to chop, grate, or mix. Apparently, they are too tired and want to “veg” outstretched in front of the TV watching reruns of South Park as opposed to making food. I am here to tell you making your food is rewarding because you feel you accomplished something. It's even better if you can raise tomatoes on your veranda or a garden in your patch of yard. The idea of providing your own food is an empowering one. Now I am starting to worry about the upcoming election. How many people will say that whatever the majority wants is fine with them. By not voting the majority will be off kilter; the election will be by the few determined to get their candidate elected. It won't be a majority unless most of voters vote. What kind of logic is
that, thinking that it doesn't matter? I keep listening and watching the candidates as they tiptoe around between everybody's point of view. Do you truly believe that Giuliano's (see this page is not part of a well-oiled political steam roller and that Hilary Clinton's is too (See this page). I am so sick of “I am just like you” and “I feel your pain” and “I am for the American People.” Most of these people are on a power trip. How can we trip those candidates that are on a power grab? Is there a way? What is this general pushing and shoving about the first
states getting to vote? Anyone with any sense would set a rule say alphabetically or by date of statehood and settle it? In addition there's this thing in Congress about condemning Turkey for genocide in WWII. So are they going to condemn us for what we did to the First People and the African blacks? Ye gods, give it a rest. Just do what you haven't done, do what the people who voted for you want done? The people who are the majority? Right? Not some group or some cause but the real living Americans? I don't blame Turkey for being irked. I don't blame the Chinese for selling us lead paint toys. Didn't any of these multi-billion dollar companies
hear of buyer beware? We ought to be holding the importers responsible for their acts. Same with the companies that don't check the foods they produce. But a large part of the whole problem are sloven, lazy people who want to buy cheap stuff for not much money. Let me tell you, cheaper is NOT always better! In this age of laziness, greed and disposable everything a few people are trying and I honor them. Look hard, kids, maybe you will find a real hero, not some guy who climbs walls or gets paid for hitting others or some one who writes from the heart rather than just to make money. My cat is a real
cat. He knows who he trusts and who he supports. He understands the reciprocity is a way of life. If he wants it he works for it. Nothing is easy and nothing is cheap. Not honor, not decency and certainly not national pride. I got to go. My cat and I are volunteering at the basket ball game in town. He and I are refereeing. Do your part and I'll do mine.
