 By Ken Hughes Oct. 1, 2007 It’s becoming obvious there's an effort for this web site to clean up its act and once again become what it was a number of years ago. Like so many who were once the mainstay of the site I haven’t posted an article for a long time. I check UK out on nearly a daily basis, probably because I like so many who cut our teeth here we feel a kinship. Many of the contributors who once wrote for UK still stay in touch and without exception we all feel the same nostalgic fondness, like UK was our favorite Old Uncle. Let hope the barbarians who took over UK have been cast out and it once again becomes what it started as. A place where all opinions, good bad and inferior among us were respected, a place where civility still counted for something. We’ll be watching UK to see if indeed it has mended its ways or is just taking a breather. We look forward to the best and will be vigilant for the worst. I for one wish the editor who’s bringing UK back if indeed they are my very best regards. ------------ About the author: Ken Hughes is a retired businessman, who’s traveled extensively, observed much and learned much.
