May 9, 2007 Back in the day (the mid 60's), Elliot Mintz was
the host on an underground radio station in Los Angeles. It's call letters were
KPFK and the topic of discussion was the assassination of JFK. He had many
interesting guests on his show and a large following of listeners (including
yours truly),who firmly believed that we had not been told the whole truth
regarding the murder of John F. Kennedy.
I had a lot of respect for Elliot back then and so
did many of my friends. We followed his career up until he covered the Patty
Hurst kidnapping and the entire SLA situation and we hung on his every
word.
The man had a huge social conscience and he was
someone to look up too.
When he first became a P.R. guy he represented John
Lennon.....
Somewhere along the line, all of that changed and
Elliot sold his soul for the almighty dollar...he became the PR representative
for Paris Hilton.
He has been made to look like a fool on more
occasions than I can count and just recently, took the blame for Paris's driving
without her license. He was fired for trying to protect his wayward and
unappreciative client and than re-hired the next day. How low can a man
go?
The man who represented society in such a positive
way and who had so much respect from many of us turned into a man who's goal was
to make big bucks from an unintelligent, skanky woman who stands for absolutely
nothing and who's behavior has helped to turn society into a hellish pit of
self-indulgence and who sets the wrong examples for all of those who worship her
cult of nothingness.
I don't fault Elliot for wanting to earn a good
living and I don't fault him for changing professions; but I do fault him for
the choices he's made in accomplishing his goals.
Do you ever remember what you once stood for,
Elliot? Do you ever remember those of us who knew you and learned from
you?
We remember you..the old you...we grieve the loss
of a man we could look up to who turned into a man we look down
upon.
