May 7, 2007 The west is now in the fourth year of a war which has been called world war four following upon the heels of the third one which was the cold war. The media and various leftist groups have been consumed with the causi belli which according to them was the matter of weapons of mass destruction, the alternate view being that nine UN resolutions not acted upon along with hostile acts aimed at US and British aircraft attempting to implement the UN resolutions was justification enough .It is generally understood that a country resorts to war when there is no possibility of using other means. The left have long trotted out the argument that Sadam Hussein was " boxed in" and there fore of no threat and that negotiations were posible.This may have been true in the short term (although maybe not in the opinion of the Iraqis living there) but not in the long term .How long would he have been content to sit like a goldfish in a bowl while the rest of the Arab world laughed at him? He would have eventually found his way to get back at the US and the west by cultivating the aid of a sympathetic ally. It is inconceivable that the situation prior to the invasion would have lasted for ever. It was just too dangerous to let the situation continue. If the US now pulls out Iraq will slide in to anarchy. Al Quad' a will establish a power base by taxing the oil companies in order to bolster their attacks upon the west. To get an idea of how al Quad a operate take a look at Somalia where they have established a presence. Will Sudan, Algeria or Tunisia be next? It is now use mouthing platitudes on peace and understanding as these types of groups do not deal in this fashion. They are only vaguely aware of the situation in western countries as in their eyes the west is an anathema and best kept at a distance. In fact it would be helpful to the cause of peace if they were interested in playing the peace groups as were the soviets as it would allow for some type of play other than war but unfortunately this is not in the cards. They are totally uninterested in the west in any context but that of its total and complete destruction.
If the democrats want to pull the troops out of Iraq
what alternatives do the have in mind? They state that
Bush should set a new course but don’t seem to have
much in mind beyond just leaving and forgetting the
whole thing. They seem to have been captured by
fringe lunatics living in a Hollywood dream world
where every one is still waiting for the utopian the
Age of Aquarius to manifest itself upon this earth.
These lunatics have a pathological hatred for the
police, the military and anyone else who pricks the
bubble they float around in forcing them to face
reality. Thankfully bit by bit Hollywood and its
supporting media are becoming less and less power full
.Even the Europeans seem to have come back to reality
what with the election of Angela Mercke in Germany and
now of Sarrakossy in France.
