Mar. 31, 2007 For fifty years now church attendance has been declining in Europe to infintesimal proportions.The US and Canada too have also had a decline in Church attendance.Some how ,despite all of this, the US is now the most religions country in the world.There is a lot of talk of the secular state and officially that is what we have in most Western countries.But upon closer examination do we really have secular states or are these only secular states on paper ,a minority,the controlling minority, adhering to some type of spiritual values. It is all very well to say that the US is a secular country as the US Constitution specifically calls for a separation between church and state, but what of government officials who are also part of a religion .The law states that they may not use public office to further their religious beliefs.This is hard to enforce ,why even those who have turned atheists still promote Christian values, witness the democrats and their obsession with turning the other cheek,showing compassion to the poor,the halt ,the lame ,the disfigured and the mentally challenged. Science is now supposed to take over where religion left off .Since the religious curriculum has been taken out of the schools a multitude of cults have filled the vacuum, ranging from the Al Gore worship of the environment ones, to the UFOology variety on up to the Hollywood cults of ignorance and nonsense, to name a few. Since time immemorial man has worshiped some type of spiritual entity,the development of the ability to reason and the awareness of impending death bringing about in all humans (with minimal imagination) the need to for reassurance regarding their own demise.This has translated into a number of religions on which the laws of all societies are based.Some don’t work and cause those who follow the failed religion to become extinct.Some go on to dominate other religions and the government upon which they are based. Science is now the thing on which the governments of the west are based ,the religious component officially outlawed as far as it being a part of government .Since science has taken over we have seen a decline in western populations to the point where we now have to import populations from countries where religion is part of daily life,these populations wanting to impose there religion upon the government of the host western countries.The most vociferous of these population's are those from Muslim countries. The attempt to take religion out of government has not worked.All it has done is to replace one religion with another .This brings us to the religions of the west. In countries where the Catholic Church is strong ,such as in Ireland ,Poland and South America there are (or were in the case of Ireland)large population of western oriented workers desiring to better their lot by moving somewhere else .Poland at present has two million Catholics living abroad ,mainly in the Irish Republic and other countries of the European Union.In the US half of Mexico seems to be residing there ,in addition to those from other South American counties.Most of these people are Catholic's opposed to abortion .It is only logical that in both the US and in Europe the Catholics will swamp the Protestant and the secular communities within a very short time, replacing or absorbing the non Christian immigrants in the process.After all what will the immigration policy of a country be who's government is still dominated by those who have been indoctrinated with western values ; to keep the doors open to a flood of immigrants who are opposed to the founding ethos of the host country ;or to close them in preference to those who have an affinity with the host county?
It is all very well to prattle on about racism by
stating that society will favour those coming from
the third world as it will right some vague wrongs
commited against them by the citizens of the west or
by their forebearers?Can we expect favour to be shown
to them by the coming generation if it means in
effect the elimination of all things that make the
west the most preferred place in which to live?Saying
that only a small proportion of those coming from the
Middle East are terrorists will ,in the future, carry
less and less weight .It wil be like saying that only
a small minority of a certain population carry the
plague.I personally see the Roman Catholic Church
fulfilling the role it did following the collapse of
the Roman Empire :that of the re-introduction of
civilization in to the west.
